Just gonna put this here....

She was a Japanese pop-star before coming back to North America and SHIELD lol. She was talking about it on Jimmy Kimmel last night.

Coulson would be too "dangerous" to show as a cameo in CATWS....in other words, his appearance there would pretty much derail Cap's story and turn into Cap and Widow going, "WTF, Coulson....?!?!"

Ward, May, FitzSimmons, Hand, Dr. Streiten or Blake would be "safe" SHIELD cameos that wouldn't have to have a big impact on Cap's story. Donnie Gill, Mike Peterson or Akela Amadour would be pushing it, depending on their timelines (what with being double agents and all). Skye and Coulson would derail the CATWS plot.

Oh, come on, really? Coulson appearing for a hot second would be a fun thing for the audience, particularly if he were in star-struck fanboy mode, and then the plot would hurry on. Just have a shocked Cap spot Coulson accidentally, followed by Fury or Hill saying, "I guess you just got promoted to Level 8, Captain." Boom, done.

I think Cap would want some answers as to why Coulson is still alive, though.

I'm still waiting for Coulson to ask Fury who broke into his locker and stole his Cap cards...

If things are moving fast there wouldn't be time for questions. "Was that....?" "Yep!" It's not like there's gonna be nothing else happening in CATWS.

Coulson already mentioned the fact that his trading cards were ruined in the third episode (IIRC). He sounded a little peeved. :cwink:

I really don't think it would be that simple, but I respect your opinion. Cap just does not seem like the type to sweep something like that under the rug and quickly move along. None of the Avengers do. We've already seen how they react to Fury's lying.

The way I see it, if Cap (or another Avenger) spotted Phil Coulson while in the middle of a pursuit, while rushing to head off a HYDRA plot or whatever, he's not going to have the time to stop and get into any long explanation. For instance, if Steve saw Phil at the Triskelion after talking to Pierce, with so much to deal with and Brock Rumlow amassing SHIELD thugs around him, he wouldn't be likely to chase off after the agent. Coulson turning up alive would be really interesting to Steve, but watching his own back would be a much more pressing matter.

yea but if he shows up without it being addressed at some point then that would be bad writing

If Coulson shows up in a Marvel movie at this point,it's likely to be an Avengers film. That way the whole team gets the story at the same time (Not that there's much of a story.Coulson doesn't even know much)Either that,or one of the cast of Avengers could guest on the show (but I wouldn't hold my breath).I think the chances of Coulson just showing up in Cap or Thor sequels is probably next to zero.

They got 2 address Coulson & The Avengers eventually. Hell when Thor 3 comes around & Thor is with Lady Sif in a scene. People will be wondering if Thor knows or not if Coulson is back

What about an after credit scene? Cap bumps into Coulson

That might be good. Honestly though, if I were forced to put an appearance of the AOS cast in CA:TWS, I would make it as subtle as possible. Remember the good ol' days of wondering if we really saw a version of Cap's shield on Tony Stark's work bench in Iron Man? It would be blink-and-you-miss-it like that. I'd have the one of crew of the bus (someone besides Coulson, though) walk through the background of a scene at Shield headquarters, or something like that.

No need to be as obvious as Cap's appearance in T:TDW, as wonderful as that was.

ABC President Paul Lee had more positive comments about AOS's future on the network at the TCA confab. He is pleased with the direction of the show and believes it will be on the air for "a long time." Lee said similar things at TCA last week, all but assuring that the show will be renewed. He puts a lot of emphasis on time-shifted viewing for AOS and other shows. That may be spin, but it's encouraging that network execs at least consider those numbers when making decisions about programming.

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and The Goldbergs can stay on the air for a long time – Goldbergs has social buzz and is starting to grow. S.H.I.E.L.D. is in the mid 4s in L7. The show is really doing well creatively.”

Then why did their website fall in line with other networks, and institute a new 8-day wait policy before letting you watch online. :argh:

I know, I know... online viewing doesn't count towards L7. I'm still dumbfounded by the 8-day wait policy, though. They're only feeding the pirates.

I'm pretty sure Fury told the Avengers that Coulson made it ,after the NYC thing was over of course.

I was forced to look beyond official sources to see it last week. That policy is completely stupid.

Lee also said that the last nine episodes have been "arced," rather than being episodic like the first thirteen were. Apparently they realized that one reason AOS has failed to connect is disjointed nature of the narrative. Making the plots more cohesive and interconnected from here on out should help the show become more compelling (fingers crossed).

ABC was trying to make the show available to as many people as possible in the beginning of the season. Now that it's past the midpoint of the season, they probably want to press L+same-day and L7 DVR viewing over online viewing. It might help the ratings more if there were fewer breaks in the schedule, however.

Apparently, you aren't the only one: http://gigaom.com/2014/01/17/after-abcs-cord-cutting-block-bittorrent-shoots-up-300/

Despite the fact that [Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.] has middling ratings, according to Nielsen, the Joss Whedon-helmed action show is now the fourth most illegally downloaded show in the world. In addition, the show’s download rate spiked after ABC restricting episodes to cable customers and Hulu Plus subscribers.

There are not enough 's in the world. Good call, ABC.
