Aunt May. Donna Troy obviously wins by the numbers, but the "genetically modified actress" thing was just so goddamn dumb that I still can't really get over that Aunt May retcon. Especially since it was so unnecessary. Literally the only saving grace of Aunt May's return was JMS having her finally discover Peter's secret identity and become a pro-Spider-Man crusader.

Aunt May was a big part of OMD. As much as I liked the interactions after she found out Peter was Spider-Man it's still not enough.

DC has a weird habit of doing all these reboots and trying to make every change fit everything despite there being no way to do so. Look at Hawkman. They need to knock it off.

Does this one even need a pithy drawn-out explanation? I dare say everyone knows this one, it was a meme at one time...no other retcon we've seen in this game can say that, and we had flippin' HAWKMAN and his ninety-nine origins show up.

Hal Jordan lost his mind, killed innocents, destroyed the entire Green Lantern Corp (save for the only Oa guardian people love) and died a villain. Then DC wanted to bring him back, so to salvage his good name, they reveal it was a parasitic space entity (not a Klyntar, and they're Symbiotes, goddammit ) that took him over and did all this.

I'm actually not sure if this should be considered a bad retcon. It's out there, tho.

Dammit, the real retcon is that his Reed Richards hair was because of Parrallax...kay?

I liked the original Parallax idea and what they did after with Zero Hour and the whole every color has a lantern thing was alright and made for some good stories. Superboy Prime was just terrible on every level.

Xorneto x The Three Legions of Superheroes

Xorn was a Chinese mutant who joined the X-Men. He wore a helmet that concealed the star in his head that would otherwise destroy the planet. But this was all a ruse...Xorn was actually Magneto in disguised, returned as a homicidal villain, and the Xorn identity he created to gain Xavier's trust. Except then he started to hear a second personality in his mind...his fake Xorn identity...

So, the fake alias he created was now a psychological disorder.

Until Marvel decided to reveal there is a real Xorn. And that there were two Xorns...no, three.

See, after Xorn unmasked and revealed her was always Magneto playing everyone, he is killed fighting the X-Men.

Except...it is then revealed that the dead Magneto, who posed as a fake mutant named Xorn, was actually Xorn posing as Magneto. In otherwords, there really was a Xorn, and he was the one that died fighting the X-Men, looking like Magneto.

So Magneto was still alive. And then Xorn shows up. And its revealed that this Xorn is the good twin brother of the Xorn that died posing as Magneto after Magneto posed as Xorn, who was never anything but a fabricated identity.

So Magneto created a fake persona that coincidentally there were two real people with those exact identities and they were both twins. Magneto even coincidentally got their looks down and the real Xorns even have/had stars (or black holes) in their heads.

Xorn 1- Fake identity and/or voice in Magneto's head
Xorn 2- fake Magneto who died
Xorn 3- Xorn 2's twin

And Magneto's name was never Erik Lehnsherr; its Max Eisenhardt. And Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch were never his kids; they aren't even mutants. And Polaris was never his other daughter. Wait, she is again. Nope, retconned again. Nope, they're father/daughter again. No wait, undone. Okay, they're...no...oh, oooh, we're back to them being related.

I'm sorry, I can't do this one. I want to do it justice because I really don't want to sell short how convoluted and stupid this retcon, or series of retcons, is, but I'm tired, this has been so much typing, look, guys, I'm only supposed to post pictures, sway you to vote for Catwoman with T&A scans...

Fff***, fine. So there are (before New 52) three different main-universe Legions. The original team existed, then around Zero Hour, this version is erased from existence and replaced by a new Legion with altered origins. Then they got erased from existence around the time of Infinite Crisis and a third Legion with altered origins take their place. Now remember, these aren't alternate reality LoSH coming in, their being treated as the "always been established" LoSH that just overlap the previous ones; as far as all parties are concerned, whichever LoSH is here now (pre-New 52) has always been the LoSH. Then the Lightning Saga brings the LoSH (1) back into the main universe, but the still recent LoSH (3) don't get displaced, we just have both of them. Then Legion of Three Worlds brings back the post-Zero Hour/pre-Infinite Crisis LoSH (2)....

I'm done. What the sh&% did I just try to explain?!

I was a LoSH fan when I was a kid and before the last(?) reboot before New52 I enjoyed the Lost in Space stuff. I had no idea until much later that there was so many freaking versions of them.

Also, they had these costumes at various points.

that sounds awful and now i am glad i gave up reading if stuff like that was going on, that LOSH stuff i am like whatever like Hawkman its comes down to " its just a comic book and we are trying to say things make sense but basically we dont know our heads from a hole in the wall but we want to try something new and.. oh well so sue us!" plus i like some of the new characters they created from all that crap
