X-Men - Part 2

Heh, yeah, that was funny. "No, Storm... I need you!" "No, Emma... I need you!" Maybe people would be more receptive if you didn't turn your back on everything most of them joined the team for in the first place, dummy. :oldrazz:

It's a callback to her old uniform from when she was a brainwashed Hound, it looks like. You'd think that'd be the last costume she'd want to wear again.

For a school, though? It's all fun and games 'til she puts one of those spikes through a kid's eye. :nono:

its still an ugly costume for her

I've always hated Rachel's costume from Excalibur. it was all red leather and spikes. it was so stupid.

They should've just stuck with her previous costume. The black and orange one she wore in space. Looked good and it was distinctively hers.

what happened to the green and yellow one? what was wrong with that?

I think it also got pretty messed up in a fight during Brubaker's "Rise and Fall of the Shi'ar Empire" arc.

yeah, because super hero's costumes have never been messed up before. she can make a new one.

I thought all of these damn things were made of unstable molecules or something so they handle wear and tear better. I guess a green mini skirt looks cooler when it's drawn with a rip up the thigh....:o

Rachel's green/yellow costume with the glasses from ReLoaded was stupid. This one is much better than that. Her best one however was her space look. I wouldnt have minded if she kept that

why did she make a different design though? was there a reason or was it just one of those "we're gonna design a new costume because we can" thing?

It was a "because we can" thing. Rachel had just fought and bumped uglies with Korvus (at the same time), saw that her clothes were torn, and walked into the next room to make herself an entirely different outfit.

I like the new design, I guess. I just liked the reminiscence her old green and yellow gave to her mother. plus, mini skirt are hot. :hrt:

Can I just say that I really like Frenzy's design? I've never given much thought to her. She was always one of my least favorite Acolytes (and I never cared for her prior to that) and the only time I ever found her interesting was during Eve of Destruction but she was being semi-mind controlled during that and nothing came of it. I still didn't care so much about her in Ages of X but since that wrapped up and she changed her look and is trying to become an X-Man... I'm really digging her.

So she's really newly reformed? I wonder if she'll be to the Jean Grey Academy what Quicksilver is to Avengers Academy...

She's genuinely trying to reform and be an X-Man. She was an X-Man in Ages of X and Cyclops's lover and she remembers that. Cyclops pretty much waved her off when everything corrected itself because it "wasn't real" and it hurt her and after that she decided that she needed a change. She shaved her hair off, changed her look, and declaired in a nice moment to Gambit that she wanted to be an X-Man. She's been a pretty cool character in X-Men Legacy for the past two arcs and I'm glad to see it continuing.

That appears to be her motivation for going to Westchester as well, since it still hurts her to see him with Emma.

I remember when Frenzy was an Apocalypse henchwoman and looked like Grace Jones back in X-Factor.
