There's only pressure if you have no ****ing idea what your doing.

Tim Burton = Never read a Batman comic but knew how to make a Batman film
Bryan Singer = Never read a X-Men comic, watched cartoons to prepare, made Wolverine & the X-Men
Sam Raimi = Grew up on Spidey, favorite comic of his as a kid, knew how to make a Spidey film

Yep, make Batman a killer and a crappy fighter.

I think I'll wait until I see/hear Jesse as Lex before I say how he'll do. It's hard to visualize, I'll give you that, but we've been down this road enough times to know that an actor can surprise us. I personally think he'll be great

You really can't get into the idea of Doomsday vs the proto Justice League? That really sucks you can't get into the idea. Same with Hal. The GL appeal is Sinestro vs Hal, but that's lost on some people...

Doomsday along with Lex would be a more than formidable threat, that sounds amazing to me. Yes Doomsday is a mindless brute, that's why he's in a movie with Lex freakin Luthor!

Doing Doomsday would be utterly stupid on DC part. It's too soon and any one who actually really read and loved the Death of Superman would agree. First off you can't do Doomsday with out doing Death of Superman. If you try you're going to have a lot of upset fans.

Now to do the death Superman you have to have set up for Superman to really matter to the world. Right now if Superman where to die it would be empty death because no one in that world would care.

The aftermath of the Death of Superman is as important as his actually death. In fact in some ways it's more important. The aftermath shows us a world with out Superman and how it effected every one. This is a great plot line that WB could use that could have a ripple effect through out there DC shared Universe. However there isn't one at this point so Killing Superman off at this point would be a complete waste of time.

I sorry dude but there is no way on earth they will use Doomsday. Maybe they might hint at him but there not going to pull the big guns out not yet and not if there smart.

A cynic would be an understatement. You flat out hate the Marvel Movies as much as I hate what there doing with DC.

At least he doesn't hate things he's never seen.

I'm curious what leads you to believe there some big bad grand villain in the movie?

While I highly doubt Doomsday has any part in this movie, there will most certainly be a physical threat for Superman/Batman to take on together in the end. It's not going to be the two greatest superheroes teaming up to beat up a skinny bald guy.

As much as presentation and performance matter story and on screen action have their part too. A scene of Lex sitting quietly eating a meal as we hear his goons in the background beating on some poor innocent that has incurred Lex's ire in some way would establish a lot about Jesse's Lex to the audience and Jesse himself wouldn't have to do much performance wise. I like having a performer of Jesse's caliber in the film but beyond pure casting there are other ways to get across how intimidating, effective, or ruthless a character is. Just saying.

Doomsday never has interested me. He's just a mindless brute and my problem with Lex is Jesse as Lex. I still don't see it. I get why they would cast him but that doesn't mean it's a good idea.

I like the Hal and Sinestro stuff but John's always been and will be my favorite Lantern.

I'm still pumped for BvS but think about sequels for a second. All the great sequels.

Empire Strikes Back, Terminator 2, Wrath of Khan, The Dark Knight, Spider-Man 2, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Superman 2.

What makes those films great? The villains.

Vader, T-1000, Khan, Joker, Doc Ock, Koba, Zod.

The villains of the sequel are the most memorable. I love villains but I have more confidence in Whedon's direction with Ultron then Snyder's with Lex. On the plus, I have more confidence in Snyder's Batman then Whedon's Batman.

Luckily, big films like this have top-notch casting directors and filmmakers who can see the things you can't.

You don't know what you're talking about buddy.

The Avengers is in my top 5 movies of all time :dry:

The Avengers=amazing
IM1: great
TIH=pretty good
IM2: good
IM3: pretty good
Thor=pretty good
TFA=awesome
TWS=good
GOTG=good
Thor 2=boring
AOS=unwatchable

I prefer DC films generally, along with the good X-Men and Spidey films, but I don't hate the MCU at all.

I bring up the MCU in regards to the DCCU because it gives us a good template of what NOT to do.

IMO:

The MCU is generally overly comedic and it has a homogenous Marvel tone spread across all the movies. Also, the villains are generally weak.

DCCU needs a more serious tone (jokes shouldn't be a crutch like they are in some Marvel films, jokes should only be used when necessary)

They need great memorable villains that are actually scary and threatening, unlike the average MCU villain.

I love what the MCU has done for the superhero genre. For me, the novelty of their movies wore off a bit after The Avengers, but I'll be seeing all their films. The problem is that my favorite Marvel characters are Spidey and Wolverine, as a kid I never cared for The Avengers or other MCU characters.

DC on the other hand, those characters dominated my childhood, so that plays into my love for DC, it's tied to nostalgia and my childhood.

So yeah I don't hate the MCU at all, i don't love it either. There should be people that speak their mind. The MCU is good, but sometimes their movies are too comedic, and sometimes their villains suck. Doesn't mean I hate the MCU

I mean I see how and why Jesse would work but that doesn't mean I like it.

What's it like to dislike something you've never seen and generally know nothing about? Must be weird.

LOL levitikuz, you're going to be changing your tune about Eisenberg. I'm positive.

You don't have to not see something to not like it.

For example, Michael Bay's Transformers sequels. We know they are ****. I haven't see 4 but I could tell by the ads its ****.

Roberto Orci directing Star Trek 3 will be **** since he hasn't directed a damn thing in his life and doesn't have Abrams to bail him out of his **** writing.

I can name more.

About that teaser Jett was talking about earlier: https://***********/markhughesfilms/status/525447928106602496
Watch this weekend, I've got a story coming a/b it...

Has Jett got a scoop right in like the past 5 years?

His battle percentage in scoops is about the same as Eh Maybe's who's last DC scoop he got right was Ledger as Joker.

I've found that convincing myself that I am going to love/hate something I haven't seen no matter what is one of life's less profitable enterprises.

You're free to do what you want. But if you're going to go into this movie with your mind already made up, it's a self fulfilling prophecy. You're going to hate it, and frankly I won't feel much sympathy towards your disappointment. Not that you care, of course.

I think I'll like Jesse. I could see him playing a mix of the cold-hearted corporate billionaire out for himself Lex and the original smartest man in the world Lex. A cold yet charming CEO who has risen to the top through a combination of his own intelligence and cunning and a policy mercilessly destroying anyone and anything in his way with calculated precision. His intimidation isn't physical. The long line of obstacles and people he's left broken behind him should be frightening enough.

And when it doesn't happen, we'll get blamed for tricking scoop sites into running that rumor.

Oh lordy lord...

Dude...if I say it, it is. ;)

I obviously wouldn't complain if they released a trailer this soon, but I don't believe this for a second.
