do you think we could use construction of the watchtower? or a newly built Hall of Justice at the BvS? It would be a great setup for JL
A shot of watchtower construction at the end of the movie would be amazing
Especially with this playing as the shot fades out:

I've found that convincing myself that I am going to love/hate something I haven't seen no matter what is one of life's less profitable enterprises.
You're free to do what you want. But if you're going to go into this movie with your mind already made up, it's a self fulfilling prophecy. You're going to hate it, and frankly I won't feel much sympathy towards your disappointment. Not that you care, of course.
I doubt we're going to see the watchtower in the DCCU.
a) Because it's kind of a ridiculous concept when you think about it and although it kind of works that Bruce could fund such a thing in the cartoons and comics, in a film with the realistic sensibilities in the style of MoS noone is going to buy that a billionaire can afford a trillion dollar space station. In fact it says something quite disturbing that the heroes could spend such an exhorbitant amount of money (that could conceivable clothe and feed billions of starving people) just because they want a rad space clubhouse.
b) Because it would be sort of weird and awkward to have super powered beings build an orbital space station base, when the Earth is still reeling from a devastating attack from superpowered beings who had an orbital space station base.
Yeah, I had a feeling those reports were real. It'll be interesting if Snyder and co. manage to keep the ending/cliffhanger a secret all the way into release.
I don't think a space station made by the Justice league would have anywhere near the cost anywhere near as much as it would cost for a corporation or a government. They wouldn't have to fly small pieces of it up one by one by shuttle since Superman could just fly it into space. Cyborg could probably design it himself. There's always a chance it could be a spaceship from an invading force that the League retrofits as a HQ satellite. I'm fine with the Hall of Justice but Watchtower is still cooler.
Is it really established that the satellite took trillions to make? You got "gods" with powers that range all over the map to build (some of whom could conceivable actually be richer than Bruce. Want to guess what the royal treasury of Atlantis and Paradise Isle is worth in comparison? I'm sure both are filled with antique gold and gems) it and then put it into orbit so, I think that could be overstating things by just a teansy bit. As far as I know I don't think a specific price tag was ever put on it, and I don't think if it was that it came to over a trillion dollars. It's an HQ built with a group effort so it's not really all about Bruce. Classically it's filled with technology Bruce would have no clue how to reproduce or built from the various aliens that are part of the team.
It would be cool to see what Zack Snyder's version of the FOS would look like for this Superman, assuming that scout ship from MOS wasn't our only "Fortress".
Regardless of the source, I don't think the idea of a teaser trailer in December is too farfetched, considering they already showed a teaser this year. Then we can get the first full trailer next summer.... maybe another next winter, and then finally one more before the release. TDKR had a teaser and 3 full trailers. I know there were a lot of trailers for MOS too.
Trillion dollars is a pretty conservative evaluation when it comes to the watchtower. The ISS cost 100 Billion and that's basically just a few corridors and rooms with basic labs. Watchtower is essentially a skyscraper in space.
Personally I think the watchtower is just too out there of a concept. I liked the fact that the JLU cartoon basically questioned it's existence as several military and civilian characters noted how ominous it was to have the equivalent of gods sitting up in space on a giant weaponized space station. It just feels saturday morning cartoonish to me. A floating space base.
I assumed it was.
I am totally down with the idea that they follow the MOS pattern of trailers only of course in the context of this film. Two teasers with similar footage only one with narration for Superman and one focused on Batman would be great to me. I would just ask for more footage than the Jor-el/Kent one's we got which were not that spectacular.

You might be right. I guess we'll see in BvS.
Yeah, I didn't follow MOS too closely, but I remember there were 2 versions of the teaser. If BOF is hearing there's a "Batman heavy" teaser, maybe there's a Superman heavy one as well.
Anyone know how many trailers there were for MOS?
I could be wrong but I just assumed that was new interpretation of the FOS given its location. Was there any word from the creative team as to whether it was suppose to be?
