I always liked Keaton. Hated Pfiefer's Selina though. Origin was completely stupid, and I didn't think her performance was as great as people make it out to be. I've never thought much of her as an actress, to be honest.

I actually like his Bruce Wayne better than his Batman. I like that he was this haunted person. I liked that he had spent so much time training for Batman that he didn't know how to be a normal person and was awkward.

I didn't mean Keaton was THE Batman or even the best Batman. Certainly his Bruce is an oddball (although I sorta think Bruce should be odd).

I simply meant that for my generation, who grew up with Burton, Keaton will always be remembered for the role. Simply because for most my age (35), he was the introduction to live action Batman.

Of course, younger generations will feel more strongly about Kilmer, Bale or even Clooney. I don't expect otherwise.

And I didn't mean to start any war. I was just posting what popped in my head. Guess maybe I should know better than to do that

I worded that really badly coming straight after him being a very good Batman. Didn't mean to say he was a bad Bruce Wayne, just not a typical one. He's likeable and quirky/interesting in the role which helps make it (even) more rewatchable.

I didn't care for Keaton's Batman or Wayne. I guess I was a little too old and too familiar with his comedy work. Bosom Buddies, Beetlejuice (imagine if today they cast Andy Samberg)

My son who was 9 at the time loved it though.

I also loathed the huge rubber suit.

Though I agree, as a counterpoint I think it would show tremendous resilience on Bruce's behalf if he didn't fall to the expected norms of an individual borne from tragedy. It is after all a hallmark of the character to rise above and beyond.

Keaton's Bruce Wayne was an interesting take, but it didn't completely make sense for someone trying to keep separate identities. They made it obvious that he wasn't entirely comfortable as a playboy, and that it was an effort for Bruce to try and play it up. Sometimes it made his personality seem a bit unusual for a man in his position which could draw attention.

I presented the idea that based on current casting news and certain factors, long ago that Gordon may be dead. I have no extra inside info on the film, yet now some "insiders" are going to run with this rumor as inside info Nothing is confirmed, it's just a logical deduction and it gets old for people to keep pulling this stuff on the internet. It could turn out to be the case, but presenting ideas as facts is annoying

I pretty much agree with this. Though i won't go as far as saying "i didnt think she was much of an actress". I always liked her on screen, thought she was good. Same as Charlize Theron, good, but people tend to overrate them. There's always been better actresses than them in their generation.

That origin was a joke, her acting was solid but it's as good as Nicholson as Joker. Which was solid but nothing spectacular (Nicholson playing himself practically: Michelle pushed herself more but it's not some oscar worthy performance). Fans like to exaggerate with her, especially because they think she's hot. I guarantee if she wasn't so sexy in a tight suit, or simply a really good looking woman as she is, they wouldn't be gushing over her career as much as they do. I know that sounds terrible because she is a talent to me, but she's not the be-all-end-all of acting like some posters on here think.

What training? Keaton was scrawny. Looked like he would pass out if he did 100 pushups + a few lifts.
