I can't keep up with this thread. Life be crazy busy. Probably know this already, but I just read on FB that a first cut is finished and composers are watching it today (Tuesday). I don't get the logic of having a movie almost finished a year before release. I understand the studio wants strategic release dates but this movie will do huge numbers no matter what.

SS won't be so bad because they'll film in 2015 and release in 2016. Not such an interminable wait.

But then WW supposedly films this fall and releases in freaking summer 2017. That's worse than BvS. Like a year and a half wait. WB be torturing fans.

I know it's not changing Sage, I think I'm just a little annoyed that I have to wait 3 freaking years in between DC films. I am so glad that Jeff Robinov is gone, I wish they had gotten rid of him a little sooner.

I'm going to disagree with you there. I'll bet a lot of the vfx are done. and a rough first edit has been made. there are still some tweaks to be made. some final sound effects,final edits,scoring the normal polishing but I'd almost bet the house that the major visual effects are near completion. it's been 4 months since they finished shooting. it was a very long shoot and I'd almost bet that the really heavy special effects stuff was shot early on and sent to the vfx guys to start work on. it's possible they've had almost a year already to have been working on some scenes.

I say, almost instantly with the first screening of Mad Max or an hour/two before it. Like the Star Wars one.

I can't believe Furious 7 made over $140 million this weekend. I don't follow the franchise, so forgive me it that huge debut was painfully obvious to most (I thought it would hit Captain America numbers).

For me, this just proves how smart and sensible WB were in moving the release date to late March:

- Serious lack of competition
- A rebooted BATMAN
- 3D Premiums (something the Nolan movies never had)
- Two HUGE cultural icons coming together onscreen for the first time
- An insatiable appetite for comic-driven action adventure movies (certainly post-Oscar season).

Guys I can't quite fathom the impact that the first footage of this film will be. I'm being very literal right now. I literally cannot imagine what it will be like. That's how big it's going to be. Most of my time spent after the teaser hits will be watching constant reaction videos from fans like me. I may even have to make one haha.

Totally agree mate, I was just thinking about certain scenes with Batman and Superman talking to each other....oh lawd.....I can't believe it's happening.

Well needless to say, they're going to have to be very careful/smart with what they choose to release as the film's first promotional teaser. They can't slack off with the creation of this trailer as it's going to need to be edited/featured in a way that'll really make one hell of a first impression on people.
