Isn't it hypocritical for Miller's Batman to claim that guns are the weapons of the enemy, and yet he retrofits a rifle to be a grappling gun?

Guns are the weapon of the enemy so he took that weapon and made it his own.

In other news...I posted this in the Superman costume thread but figured it wouldn't hurt to post here also. Well since the new video of the suits came out I grabbed a screenshot of Superman's shield. Can any of you geniuses out there decipher what is written on his shield? I'm very curious...

A couple of silver stars wouldn't have been out of place on the skirt, but I'm pretty relieved that there's blue in it. That and a bigger, more regal breastplate with little ornaments - kind of like that flowery thing in Superman's new S - would have made it perfect. But it's still pretty cool. I love the sword, I just hope she gets to use her lasso tons, more than anything else.

Based Fabok's WW costume is based. I'm glad the cinematic version is similar.

No. His enemies use guns to hurt people. Batman uses it as a tool to get across a gap that's too far for his usual grappling gun. Big difference.

From what I understand, the grapnel gun or grappling gun didn't exist until Batman (1989).
