A few things on this convo:

1. Clooney was **** as Batman. Period. It wasn't the tone of the movie that made him a bad Batman, it was his wooden acting.
Well, I can't blame him TOO much. He probably looked at the screenplay beforehand, read some of the dialogue and just thought "Jesus, why even bother?"

4. How we be talking Batman soundtracks without mentioning the R. Kelly gem Gotham City? :o. Screw Seal and U2.

2. BF is still the only Bats movie to really nail Bruce's character, imo, as well as his duality with his alter ego.

3. Returns is better than '89 because Christopher Walken makes everything better. And Keaton had way better chemistry with Michelle than Kim B.

1. Clooney in a Nolan Batman film could have been good, even if not as good as Bale.

2. BF did a good job with Batman/Bruce but TLJ ruined everything with the cheesy over the top Joker'ized version of Two Face.

3. 89' had Jack Nicholson as the Joker. :o

4. Seal and U2 > R. Kelly

:o

I liked most of the songs in BF.

Sorry but screw them all...Prince is the king when it comes to Bat-Soundtracks. I still rock Scandalous.

Oh, I can't believe I forgot Prince! Definitely the best. Party man...party man...can rock party like no other can.

Rules and regulations... No place in dis nation...

Tommy Lee Jones as Two Face was the worst part of BF.

As far as my preference for tone or whatever you want to call it, I have always liked serious but fantasy Batman more than serious and grounded Batman. I can divorce my actual preference from what the actual quality of the film is though. I think The Dark Knight is far and away the best Batman film because it's just a great film, period.

Agree TLJ was way OTT and ruined the film. But so was Carey as Riddler.

Also you all need to shut your damn mouths about Bat-music if you're not mentioning Siouxsie and the Banshees. :o

Jones performance is all wrong in Batman Forever. Why did we need two Joker like villains in that movie?

I also feel that Carey was too Ace Ventura meets Frank Gorshin in that film, he needed to tone it the hell down.

I think Age of Ultron had way worse issues than that boring poorly handled romance which I had no issue with before seeing the film. I wish that were the only problem I had with Age of Ultron.

Personally I want a Bats and Wondy flirtation but I don't want a romance. I don't want her to discuss running away with him or any ******** like that. And I like romance but save that **** for Steve Trevor.

I agree with everything you said, but the same folks who attacked Whedon for BW, will no doubt make a big fuss over WW needing some sort of ''MAN'' help. Hell, they were already complaining about WW needing a love interest in her solo.

If only he remained true to his first scene, talking about blind, simple, doo dah clueless luck!

I think most gals would still smash a fat Henry Cavill. I'm talking John Candy like.
