Clearly. I didn't know that before. Now I know.

I agree, i always thought that was a braniac reference

Part of me thinks that was intentional and the other part thinks it was just a little Easter Egg.

But what is the difference between the two?

Does looking at it as intentional mean that Brainiac is somehow related to being the creator of the World engine?

I figure if they use Brainiac that they have a perfect opportunity to make up for a lack of underwear on Batman and Superman's costumes... :o

Wilkinson would nail this costume too.

Brainiac:"All I want is pants! A simple pair of pants!

Living computers look good in underwear.

Funnily enough, the production design for MOS's Krypton always looked very Alien/Prometheus to me.

I loved that soundtrack. Still do.

And yeah, I totally bought into the MoS "Brainiac reference" posted above. I just wanted Brainiac to happen soooo badly.

I bought the U2 song on cassette right after I saw it on the big screen.

Oh the memories.
U2 and Seal's songs were fantastic, it's hard to get a better one, two punch than that. 'Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me' represents the dark, driving energy of Batman, and 'Kiss From a Rose' the soulful, thoughtful side which Kilmer particularly portrayed.
