I'm assuming you're referring to the informal definition?

I personally welcome it. It's been way too long since I've witnessed a live-action Batman who was full of life, purpose, and commitment. It's a nice change to see how "far" Batman can be driven.

Anyway, "demented" is probably a bit much, but I guess Affleck's coming across a little too intense for him.

The second is brandishing a gun.

The differences are astronomical.

One saved the world and seems to use his crazy powers to do good.
The other is a despicable proven killer with no remorse or reasoning.

I can't see what would be off about Bruce in this situation to you. This isn't just public Bruce, this is the real Bruce that is angry and basically Batman being what he does, can personify that anger as Bruce as well in this situation. Seems like a perfect choice.

Affleck is killing it. I'm starting to think his Bruce Wayne persona might be angrier than Batman, and that Batman is some kind of cold mask for his rage and pain.

I don't think Batman's feelings about Superman are all about the Black Zero incident. I think this is also about something, some ideology Superman has displayed after the fact. Pretty sure Superman is going to tell the government where they can shove it when they try to sanction him, and take matters even more into his hands. I think he's going to, having the power of a god, start utilizing that power.

He lost Robin, his employees died, he is losing his mission in life as the war on crime is not stopping as the Joker kills more people, and the hope of finally stopping someone who appeared to "bring the war" to him is providing a newfound passion he didn't realise he had. Yeah, I'd say the "intense" reaction is appropriate

I`m loving Batfleck so much man. People are asking why is he acting like this, well I mean you have a Superman who still has to establish himself as a hero we know and love in the eyes of the public, which seems like hes doing so now in BvS. His journey as Superman has just begun so the world is still divided over him (both within the DCEU and in our reality) especially after the events of MoS. Then on top of that you have a Frank Miller inspired Batman who has already lost a Robin and probably blames himself for his death AND has witnessed the destruction of his Wayne building because of a fight between Superman and Zod, so of course he`s going to act like this. You know, I`m one of those guys who are actually going to side with BOTH of these heroes. That way, you enjoy the movie alot more

I love how these spots focus on each character's POV of each other.

If I were to nitpick one thing that leads to speculation, when Bruce is angry at Superman for doing (what he thinks he did) the destruction of Metropolis, did anyone have this thought: "if they survived, why not check the cameras?"

I'll put it this way - the angrier an interpretation of Batman gets the less likeable the character is to me.

In the comics, Batman is more often than not categorized by being angry and somewhat unlikeable.
