If they do use Brainiac for a future MoS2 film, then it would be awesome if they based it on Geoff Johns "Superman Brainiac"

But for now it is awesome that they're using Darkseid, with him and the founding Justice League line up they're definitely going the New 52 route!

My theory that explains Bruce's seemingly reckless and cruel actions

Is that Darkseid is somehow controlling his mind through the 'knightmare' visions he is having. I don't think batman always went around sadistically branding criminals like he is being portrayed in this universe, it is a side effect of Darkseid's mind control.

Doesn't feel out of character for Batman to brand his victims though. If he can throw a guy off a rooftop and grapple him only seconds before he hits the pavement, branding doesn't seem that extreme.

Doesn't feel out of character for Batman to brand his victims though. If he can throw a guy off a rooftop and grapple him only seconds before he hits the pavement, branding doesn't seem that extreme.

It actually makes sense that he brands criminals...he draws inspiration from Zorro and he was famous for marking a "Z" on his foes.

this has me thinking Darkseid has possibly corrupted Superman and turned him into a tyrant. Bruce is given a prophetic vision from someone,possibly WW that shows a possible timeline.

I kinda think it's a result of Lex messing with Kryptonian technology. Maybe Batman goes to spy and gets hit with something from the ship. Reason I say this is because the tint on the "Knightmare" exactly matches the one Superman had when General Zod presented him with a vision of a Kryptonian future on earth.
