I could have enjoyed an entire movie set on Krypton with Crowe and Shannon

i was hoping they'd go more modern technology almost future star trek type krypton rather than the direction they went. it was alright, but i don't think it was enough to where i could go for a crowe lead full on krypton movie.

I really wanted to do a marathon this weekend of some particular films. Those being Watchmen, TDKR animated and MOS. But super bowl tomorrow so. I'm thinking I should do the marathon a little closer to BvS release.

I wish they would explain why Jor-El gave his son a blue suit with a red cape when everyone else on Krypton had brown/bronze on.

The scout ship is like 20,000 years old and I have a theory that it's some sort of Kryptonian formal wear. When Jor El shows Clark the history of Krypton and tells him of Kryptons space travel the Kryptonians are planting an S shield flag so I think the El's led the missions into space. So maybe when Kryptonians were into space travel they would wear brighter colours. Personally I don't really think it needs to be explains though, kind of think people seem to want everything explaining these days when really there is little need.

liquid metal design to me was kinda meh. i'd of preferred putting kalel's mind in the moment where he could be standing there watching the actual events happening while jor-el narrated. instead of just the metal structures for story telling.

The Jor El/Zod fight was awesome. I especially loved the delivery of the line, "His name is Kal, son of El. And he is beyond your reach." The way the music drops as the camera cuts to Zod, is cinematic perfection. I hope there's more scenes like that in BvS where the score fits to the dialogue perfectly.

I've actually watched all of those in the last two weeks. It was my first time seeing TDKR, it was a pretty solid translation to anime.

Such an amazing adaption to anamited film. I originally owned both separate versions because it was in 2 parts. But then I did buy the edition that combined both films into one feature length on blu ray and it is My god.

Although you're the third differing suggestion of the age of the ship/design. Another thing that I wanted to ask - I heard rumors that the crashed Kryptonian ship is Supergirl's ship. Do you agree? And if so, wouldn't that make her thousands of years older than Kal-El? I suppose that makes them not actual cousins.

There was a prequel comic confirming this that the empty pod was Kara's and she walked out of there. It was 5,000 or 10,000 years earlier, can't remember. I think Jor-El actually mentions the time period when talking to Clark about the "Great Era of Expansion".

The Kara story has been speculated that she was a predecessor of Wonder Woman or Aquaman possibly.

I thought it was a great way to show an alternative take on technology. Whereas earth is going for a digital approach, Krypton went for a more tactile approach. It was a really smart and under appreciated choice.

It's a cool scene. But I can't help but be annoyed that a military general just got his ass kicked by a scientist. It always bothered me.

I'm done with biological parents. I think less Els and more Kents makes it a better superman story.

Biological side was important for information to audience and MOS already done that.

Earth roots are important for characterization.
