I'd like to see this theme explored in more detail in BvS and I have a feeling they will:

Indeed, i would like to see this 'committee' in BvS.

Me neither.

Hall of Justice fan right here.

Hall of justice is lame.

I just don't think it's convenient for most of the members. I just can't imagine Batman or Aquaman not raising their hands and not being like "Ugh, can we not set this operation up on Earth? Y'know, the planet most of us live on.... Seems like it's only convenient for you and Green Lantern, Superman. I'm a millionaire but I ain't got NASA money here...."

The prequel comics are canon, so I believe they already exist in BvS. What I'm curious about is if this committee is actually part of Project CADMUS.

Weren't Lex and Waller the founders of CADMUS?

Why do the JL need a home base anyway. Batman can rally them to the cave if needed otherwise they all live separate lives and get together as needed via Batman most likely.

I think CADMUS is a little cart before the horse. If Snyder is to be believed in a recent interview, he's inspired more by the comics in general and probably I'd wager the runs of his youth more than the Timm DCAU, the inclusion of Harley Quinn notwithstanding in Suicide Squad. In the classic comics CADMUS is not exactly, if at all like the Waller led group of JLU.

I do think it's likely that Finch's group will be seen but that some of the characters whose names we heard in the Dr. Pepper Comics will be seen and ID'd on screen in the movie.

The same Batman in the comics that doesn't share his secret ID with members whose actions have saved his life countless times (Look it up in Morrison's run folks?) Yeah... He's not doing that in a version where they aren't established well yet.

The project was founded by Dabney Donovan, Reginald Augustine and Thomas Thompkins. The Cadmus facilities were originally constructed in a large, abandoned aqueduct outside of Metropolis. Exploration soon uncovered a vast array of caverns close to the facilities. These would become important later.
Dabney Donovan was ultimately fired from the Project because he felt there should never be limits in understanding the potential of the genetic code. Donovan had largely been accredited for the non-human creations of the Project, referred to as "DNAliens" (human beings cloned then genetically altered to discover superhuman potential while also giving them a more "alien" appearance), various normal clones, monsters based on Donovan's favorite horror films (who lived on a small artificial planet on Earth called Transilvane). One of the DNAliens named Dubbilex became a prominent staff member.
I actually prefer this version to the Timmverse Cadmus. I believe that Lex will play an important role in the creation of CADMUS.
It might explain why Senator Finch is visiting him in the trailers.

I wouldn't say lame but undoubtedly I think most would agree that the Watch Tower is better. Not only is it something located with a great view of earth but then it helps make our members who are not of earth feel welcome I.E. MM. ;)

You know one of the things i loved about the Watchtower especially its space settings is how Superman and the rest of the League look outside side at earth, symbolizing that they are it's first line of defence and protector.

1) "most" would agree? It's pretty split up so far.
2) In the current movie JL lineup there is only one dude who is not from earth ... and I think he feels pretty welcomed there. FFS, he grew up in Kansas. :o

e: I'm cool with the Hall of Justice and the Watchtower, but I prefer the former in terms of grounded DC movies.

Why not? Space is cool.

It's just stupid imo to have their base in space. Plus, if they do have it in space that means either they have the means to fly out there (Kryptonian ship?) which would take a while I'd assume OR like they usually do, telaporation, which I don't want in the DCEU.

But it looks awesome. :cwink:

One of the main reasons i'm not a fan of the Hall of Justice storyline is because of the fact that it's too Super-Friends corny imo.

The Hall of Justice could be a symbolic meeting place while the real headquarters are somewhere else.

Somewhere not in space.

Hey! Star Treks Cool! May the force be with you Harry! :argh:

Wait... Are dudes that are regular posters on a forum dedicated to super heroes throwing shade at STAR TREK?

Oh, my... How the worm turns. Yeah... That's pretty damned hypercritical, especially since Trek was and is still, a popular franchise that make tons of money, had tons of theatrically released films, 5 TV shows, with one on the way, a merchindise bonanza and a legion of loyal fans all over the planet.

The opinion that super heroes are inherently cooler somehow than Trek is frankly the height of Sophomoric Elitism.

I love Star Trek.

But I'd never have called it cool. Well, maybe Wrath of Khan but that's about it. Superheroes, at this point in time, yeah I'd say they are cool. Certainly cooler than Star Trek at any point in its respective history. Gonna ignore the elitism thing cuz just lol.

:funny:

WW = 5k
Scout ship = 18k

Isn't there Kryptonian writing on her suit and Aquamans trident. Did I read that somewhere?

I was way off with Wonder Woman whe did I get 40k from? :funny:

I could have sworn in MOS they said the scout ship had been in the ice for 20k though.
