Did they show the Turkish ads during the Super Bowl? Because I never saw them. They're cool though.

Not during the game, but during the preshow and trophy ceremony.

So a great deal still saw them.

Combine that with the 4 weeks of promotion they had to themselves during the playoffs, leading up to The Big Game, and I'd say Warners did pretty alright. Better than other studios even.

They had four weeks of standard movie spots during the other most watched games of the year (with no competing ads), and then capped it off at the Super Bowl with two of the unique spots of the night (opting for a viral marketing spin than a straightforward spot approach, which wouldve been lost among all the others). Turkish Airlines has been trending on Twitter since yesterday evening to late this morning, despite not being a well known name (which played well into promoting travel to Metropolis and Gotham).

Great job by Warners.

Same here... that Jungle Book movie looks terrible, IMO.

I'd have Jason Bourne at the top of my list, followed by the BVS spots and Cloverfield. Civil War and Apocalypse are tied for me; not bad, not great. Independence Day was underwhelming like the first trailer. I'm sure Ninja Turd-les will suck like the first one, but I must admit Krang looked cool.
I'd go:

5. Apocalypse
4. Turkish Air
3. Civil War/Coke
2. Bourne
1. Cloverfield

The rest did nothing for me.

Krank is the man, I will watch TMNT 2 just for Krank.

I didn't knew Turkish Airlines was so big. Their spots where quite clever, however I woudn't visit Gotham or Metro by those comercials.

Yeah, The pre game show showed them like 2-3X each. It was a good idea with Turkish sponsoring the pre game show.

It was a different & more out of the box advertising of the movie while showing the world building aspect. The maps and description found on the turkish site is a nice touch as well. It was a more complete marketing. This is the type of thing that stands out

And it was cheaper.

Who is Krank? :funny:

If that music is correct I think we're in for our most memorable trailer yet. Where's that announcement!?

OT: Damn Deadpool dropped fast since yesterday, getting 84% on RT with the first batch of reviews happen to be the most positive ones.

And even the "Rotten" reviews sound almost positive.

I am nervous when thinking about what the rotten tomatoes rating stage for this movie (BvS) is going to be like.

RT does matter. Whether we like it or not, it's a huge contributer to WOM.

Yes it is. I can tell people Deadpool was great and they should check it out but if they check RT and see it with a 34%, all of the sudden, my WoM doesn't mean so much. If it's sitting at 85%, people will trust my WoM more.

I see this getting even lower than MOS rt score, honestly, no matter how good it is.

Oh god, I don't mean to start another Rotten Tomatoes debate.

I just feel nervous. There are times I agree with Rotten tomatoes. Also, even if you might deny it, you know you MIGHT feel better if the film is universally accepted as much as you.

Thanks. And thank you everyone else who made me feel like a fool for asking. Comics happen to be a luxury for a stay home mom who doesn't live in America.

Yea, I mean Ace Chemicals isn't the most popular place with the general audience. Help the fans out fools, don't scare them off.

Batman (1989) used Axis Chemicals for Joker's origin and Two Face got disfigured in the Animated Series in a chemical plant. So it isn't really a big deal to assume that Two Face's origin is in Ace.

Yup. People can pretend they don't care about RT but they'd be shaking in their boots if BvS opened with 40% on RT.
