A lot of film reviews marked 3/5 or 6/10 get marked rotten. The Fresh/Rotten rating system does a s*** job accounting for mixed feelings.

As far as I know, the writer of the review chooses whether their review is listed rotten or fresh. That's why you get some 3/5 or 6/10 listed as rotten. RT.com is an aggregator. They don't decide what the percentage is or whether something is rotten or fresh. The percentage and audience score is basic math. And whether an individual review is rotten or fresh is decided by the writer of the review. RT.com itself is impartial in the process. The critics write rate and submit and RT.com relays the info. That's the entire point of RT.com. It's an impartial tool that gathers and relays info. Nothing more.

Yes, but a lot of people might be reluctant to give a film a "fresh" if they have a middling opinion on it, leaving no room for showing how many reviews would land in the middle leaves a good deal of the picture not shown. Because how much someone enjoys a film isn't black and white. I can't argue that it isn't an impartial system, but it's too flawed for me to show it any respect.

I find it amusing how, apparently, everyone and their mothers are somehow getting the soundtrack but no one leaks it. I have never seen people so mad that a soundtrack hasnt leaked.

Well, there is that one guy who released is she with you and their war here a while back. But he said he isn't gonna spoil anymore.

Btw, I'm probably late on this, but is this legit? If so, his helmet/mask is torn :D

Chirtain Harloff who is an approved critic for RT said 2/5 = rotten, 3/5 = fresh. Don't make me do research!

I usually only use RT's when I'm on the fence about a movie, or looking at movies that are bombing.

There's no need to consider the 'gray area' if your score is meant to be pass/fail. If you're having a difficult time making a decision to recommend something, then chances are it's safer to go with 'no'.

There is no flaw in aggregating a simple mathematical system of 'go see it vs. stay at home'. Delving further into intricacies only muddles the system and blurs the picture for a consumer.

Consumers should have the picture blurred for them, it encourages them to think for themselves rather than foolishly let something as unreliable as a pass/fail system think for them. People have different preferences for different genres, they view actors performances differently, they have different taste in music, visuals, and the tone of the story, in something as subjective as film with so many facets a pass or fail system is inadequate to use for passing judgement.

Then they should look at Metacritic instead of Rotten Tomatoes.

Unreliable in what sense? It's a guide based on probability. It absolutely is helpful for people who are on the fence and don't have unlimited amounts of money or time to view every single movie out there. Be realistic in who the demographic is and what their circumstances may be.

RT does not prevent people from reading through individual reviews, or in fact, even accessing the reviewer's actual numerical score. If they want to dive into it, they fully have that ability to make an informed decision.

yes it is

I'm not so sure if it is legit.

Look at this gif of Supes catching Bats' kick.

The spikes on the boots look more rounded, whereas in this image they are more jagged.

I'm thinking it might be a cleverly manipulated fake, but I'm no expert.

Also the source seems questionable. Very keen to hear other opinions or from people in the know.

It is MAN!!!
DC posted it on Instagram.
EDIT: this means that it is an official promo pick, not necesarely a screen shot.

I think Supes is going to put up a fight throughout the whole encounter, to make it interesting for the viewer. A fully powered Superman or a completely depowered Superman makes it boring either way. I'd say Supes is weakened but has enough power left to put up a fight.

its most certainly 100% real i thought the same thing about the boots but they are only different because of the lighting which is different in the movie.
the suit shown at sdcc has the same spikes as the ones in the pic also.
im guessing it was taken by clay enos.

Guys, I figured out who Jenna Malone is---- Rachel Dawes!! Snyder continuing his tradition of changing brunettes to red heads and vice versa. Nolan homage.

For people who have the OST, what is the name of the track that plays at the end of Eisenberg's Omaze video?
