Was just thinking of who spread the rumour that Jim Gordon was dead. At that time I didn't believe it.

Okay, for the curious: in this continuity James Gordon has, at some point in the past, bitten the dust. How and at whose hands I cannot tell you - all that's noted in the script is that there's a memorial plaque to James Gordon. This explains why the role wasn't cast for the film, at least.

J.K. Simmons as Gordon is simply perfect casting. A master stroke.

And the genius thing is that it occurred to very few of us, because we were so attached to his J. Jonah Jameson.

Simmons will crush this role. I was a strong supporter of Cranston for Gordon, but Simmons makes me even more excited.
 
I'd like it if they gave Gordon a wig.
 
Please don't make Gordon balding, just one minor request. :(
