Her exotic look is one of my favorite aspects of her Wonder Woman as it doesn't really work when she looks like any other white western European/American.

Don't say that to the Jamie "Bland n' Salty" Alexander proponents. :hehe:

you really don't enjoy the side by side comparisons to the cartoons and comics? that's literally the entire point of live action comic book movies for me... seeing what you previously enjoyed FINALLY being adapted into live action ... it's why i'm here. nothing compares to seeing my favorite comics and cartoons being adapted into live action. it's a unique and rewarding experience

I get the comics coming to life part. They're the original source material.
I just hope fans can leave some room to appreciate an adaptation that may not necessarily reflect the comics 1:1.
We wouldn't want to become the types of fans who kicked MoS around for not reflecting a silver age Superman.
The more movie versions we get, the more likely it is to get some unique takes.

He's signed on to do JL..right?
As good as Hans is, I would be open to getting other scoring talent, in a dream world if they weren't using Hans then they would use Chistopher Drake as he made excellent score themes for the justice league animated movies as well as the animated all-star superman adaption.

I imagine Hans and Junkie XL will do the two Justice League films.

I don't find Jaime bland at all, just a little to American/western European for my tastes, but were she to be cast I would have still welcomed her. I just would have had the lingering minor issue of not looking exotic enough. If you want bland, while I don't know much of her acting, I think amber heard is generic looking (although still quite beautiful), so while I don't dislike her as Mera, I just think they could have done better looks wise.

I still wouldn't peg her as white because she has naturally olive skin, and having seen plenty of white people (myself included), they tend not to have olive skin tones (there are exceptions but I don't think of Gal as one of them).

Plenty of whites have olive skin, specifically those who belong to the Mediterranean subrace (e.g., Colin Farrell, Catherine Zeta Jones, Tony Danza). Obviously a Med type from the Middle East where there's minimal Germanic influence and more of a warmer, sunny climate will look a bit different different from another Med type in somewhere like cloudy England; but in the craniofacial morphology, they're, in fact, very much the same.

My ideal combo. Co-scoring will take the pressure off both of them.
Plus, 4 of the JL character themes are already done. They only need to make Flash and Cyborg.

Yeah, there's nothing bland about Jaimie at all. She's a beautiful woman.

Apparently, Amber was excellent in The Danish Girl. I saw her first in Never Back Down and she was okay (and looked ridiculously hot) in the role.

Eh, I guess, I still don't see her as white but that is just my personal preference.

What do you find bland about her then? Acting chops?

Her persona off-screen (yes, her recent comments about the Wonder Woman thingy were petty at best) which also, like it or not, reflects on her on-screen portrayals. Her performance in the Thor movies is worse than forgettable, but then you might argue she had little to work with, which contradicts her comments and understanding of Sif: Marvel's Wonder Woman and how it's all about her "character arc" rather all the glitz and glam? Yea right. :whatever:

Also she can easily be replaced by Alexandra Daddario or the countless other up-and-coming, beautiful brunette actresses out there and it wouldn't make a lick of a difference. In other words, mediocre.

Yes, she is pretty but she doesn't exude warmth. There is this very cold look to her which doesn't jive with Wonder Woman territory.

IKR? According to his logic, Elodie Yung is also "white" because her mother is French, even though her father is Cambodian.

Anyway who cares. Gal has the exotic look which is required for Themyscirans. That is all.

What? I never said anything like that...

I see. I personally wasn't offended by her WW/Sif comments. For whatever reason, she appears to have more of a preference for Marvel characters. Nothing wrong with that. To each their own.

I don't really agree with the rest -- especially your last statement -- but that's fine. We can agree to disagree.

I don't think that's been confirmed yet, but they won't really need him in the beginning of production. I mean, Tarzan is virtually done, and he's just now signing on.

JL will be a relatively lengthy production, so I think he'll probably sign back on. I mean, with the budget WB is giving Snyder, I'm sure he'll spare no expense in getting Zimmer back.

I read possible spoilers on moviepilot. I liked possible spoilers on moviepilot. I wish I hadn't read possible spoilers on moviepilot.

I was referring to the the guy who cited '1/4 ancestries' from Wikipedia, even though the quote chain leads to you.

:funny:

Isn't that site a cesspool of hate? I think yes, IIRC.

In light of the recent debunking of the so-called Reddit reviews, I feel like we've been given a second chance to see this movie with a clean slate.

I sure as hell won't make the same mistake again. :oldrazz:

I want a Junkie XL / Ramon Djawadi collaboration. WB has worked with Ramin so I'm hoping they remember him when they are looking for composers for the DCCU.

Most Jewish Israelis came from Europe to form the Jewish state.

I think you have a pretty narrow view of what traits constitute someone being white (Caucasian). Plenty of white Europeans have olive skin tones. I'm not just talking about southern and Eastern Europeans either. 100% Welsh people like Ioan Gruffudd and Tom Jones have dark curly hair and olive complexions. When the Romans invaded Britain they thought the Welsh were Spaniards.

Henry Jackman is my only other choice for a musical score.
