I hear you. But Carter has carried the mantle for 40 plus yrs, her version is 70s camp but almost universally beloved. I'd like to see her in at least a cameo. She means so much to so many WW fans.

Gal can pull her back before she walks into traffic by accident. :oldrazz:

I wonder if Star Wars Episode VIII's new release date will make WB move this around.

At its current date (June 23), WW is a month after Episode VIII hits theaters. They're not going to cut into one another's box office. But the influx of animated films in June will cut into WW's b.o., not Jedis and their lightsabers.

WB will likely move The Lego Batman movie up a week and cede the Memorial Day spot to SW8 (I doubt Paramount's Terminator film will spawn a new franchise). And if the character is really well-received in BVS, I can see WB moving WW up to March. Or August.

March! March 2017. What a great month and year! :ilv:

I am just passing that along, but they were very, very pumped about Diana's role in that movie.

They said Wonder Woman is an absolute highlight of the film.

Also, here's a thing. Someone I trust told me that Wonder Woman in Superman/Batman is way, WAY better treated than we were hoping.

Oh boy here comes the WB don't have plan and the whole universe is screwed post's.

Those posts would be coming regardless, but this has just given them more ammo. :csad:

Their replacement better be worth it, because I am furious.

Patty Jenkins leaves Thor 2 because of "creative differences."
Michelle MacLaren leaves Wonder Woman because of "creative differences."

We have the makings of a pretty disheartening trend.

Who's next WB will look at? I presume they still want a female director.

Jennifer Kent should get a call.

Jennifer Kent said she talked to WB about doing a project, but not Wonder Woman. Maybe that conversation can change?

This isn't as bad as David Lynch saying he wouldn't do Twin Peaks, since at least WW will still happen, but... I'm displeased. :csad:

I don't ever post in here, but I was so excited for Maclaren to do this movie. This really, really blows huge chunks.

Ugh.

If they can get someone like a Jennifer Kent to remedy this, that would be great. There's still plenty of time to find a replacement, but this news really sucks.
