Definitely. There's plenty of time and I hope they'll find a good director. Preferably a female one, so that we could all avoid the ****storm that would occur if they hire the male director now.

That sucks. McLaren was the reason I was excited about this project, but I hope they find a good replacement.

I'm pretty sure his past with WW rules him out as a candidate. He spent years trying to get the movie made, and gave up out of frustration with the internal politics of the WB and their not agreeing with him. Indeed, much like what seemingly happened with MacLaren.

Unless the WB was just going to give him carte blanche (and given MacLaren's departure, that doesn't seem to be on their mind), I don't know why he would start that again.

Whedon's said he wants to his own original work after AoU, and something on a smaller scale. So I doubt he's a candidate.

Indeed. WW is a very important project for the new DCU. They need to think this through but time is also of the essence.

I'm not really buying the tiger rumor. From the things Maclaren had said, the impression I got from her was that she's flexible and can adapt to changes. Have to wait and see how WB reacts and if MacLaren says something. This could have been in play while ago when we heard about several scripts, and we just haven't heard about it until now.

OMG that happened in that movie?!! I only got about a half hour into it and I turned it off. That thing was horrid.
