But the award for worst looking Werewolf goes to....

HARRY POTTER: POA

Hopefully, in Benicio's Wolfman movie, the Werewolf will be top-notch.

Do you just like defending underdogs?

i hated this movie. i didn't and still don't like CGI Werewolves...they look like crap. The transformation sequences were cool, with the guy ripping at his skin and stuff, but that was it. I thought Dracula looked like a ***** too.

I didnt see the point in throwing Beckinsale in the film at all. She got her ass kicked everytime she made a screen appearence.

Also, on the Dracula, Wolfman and Frankenstein Legacy DVDs, they have interviews with Stephen Sommers. In them, he said he wanted to make Dracula hip and cool. I believe he says the same for the 2 other characters. he forgot one thing: SCARY. Dracula is suave, SCARY, evil etc...not hip and cool.

The overall concept of the film was excellent, but the delivery as a kid's movie, to me, made it suck. Had they made Jackman's character knowledgable of these 3 montsters, as opposed to this silly James Bond rip off, toned down the CGI, and made the script more adult oriented while still maintaining the kid level audience(like Batman Begins), it could have been way better.

Maybe he just likes saying his opinion?

I dunno, just a shot in the dark there.
Nothing wrong with that. All these opinions seem to center around underdogs, though.
Not that there's anything wrong w/that, either.

It was visually stunning. But the script needed work. And the guy who portrayed Dracula was awful.Scale of 1-10 a 7

It's not the best film in the world but I enjoyed it. I admit that the ending kind of sucked.

Beckinsale swinging on a rope and catching the serum thing. lol. And I didn't like how she died either. Plus the big CGI fight at the end.

I agree with most people here that there was a bit too much CGI. The brides were my favourite part of the movie. :D

So yeah, it's not the best film ever, but it is entertaining. :)

I dunno....I mean I know Dracula wasn't scary, but was Bela Lugosi, really? I always saw him as a frail old guy myself but thats just me.

I kinda like the ending. I thought it was nice to have a movie where the hero and heroine don't get together romantically in the end (which is uber predictable and what I expected to happen, honestly).

I remember seeing it in theaters. People were close to yelling at the screen. I heard people around sigh and say "What the hell?"

This is probably one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

You haven't seen the Punisher (either), House of the Dead, Alone in the Dark, Bad Boys 2, Phantom Menace or Tomb Raider then ;)

I've seen The Punisher (last one) countless of times. And I don't watch a movie that Uwe Boll has his stamp on. and the Tomb Raider movies does indeed suck.

It wasn't a terrible movie like say Blade Trinity. It wasn't bad in any real way. Yeah, I liked it, but then again I am into vampires and werewolves.

Lugosi, in a sense, wasn't scary if you look at it, becuase today, those movies just aren't scary, but they're still good. And Lugosi scared the **** outta me when i was little.

Lugosi's Dracula was creepy, suave, menacing. It's all there in his performance. Not to mention, he had the eyes.

The guy who played Dracula in Van Helsing lacked all qualities that make Dracula, well, Dracula.

This movie was only a good popcorn movie.

It was a fun eye candy flick. Beautiful to look at with a great score.

I've seen far, far worse blockbusters met with high praise(ie. Spider Man, The Matrix).

No way was The Matrix or Spider-Man worse than this. NO WAY.

But yes, it's great eye candy, it's also great for a movie buff like me to constantly spot stuff out from the old Universal horror movies.

At least it was better than The Mummy Returns.

Well it is there opinion like I find spider-man 2 to be a horrible movie. Yeah I said it.

Why did you do that? Do you hate yourself? ;) just playing.

I did think Van Helsing was better than Spiderbland and The Hugely Overrated Matrix.

I don't know what's so bad about this movie.

Richard Roxbourgh played Dracula just like Gerard Butler in "Dracula 2000", and I don't see you whining about that one.

And hell, it even had an intelligent Frankenstein! (which is what people want to see nowadays, they seem to hate Karloff's Frakenstein).

I mean, did you seriously go to see that movie expecting "The Godfather" quality?

I know, and I do too, but it seems to be the "in" thing now to have a smart, intelligent Frankenstein.
