looks like Margot Kidder did when she was young :-(
let's not make these people clones from the original movie...leave Amy's look alone

Here is my updated Lois manip. I fixed her eyebrows, and tweaked a few things. Hope you guys like it!

Looks a little like Katy Perry. And of course Luthor's Lois fembot in the current Action Comics series looks a lot like Zooey Deschanel.

^shes (amy adams in wilde's great manip) pretty with dark hair, but i hope they go even darker for a sharper look. i also hope her hair doesn't look so soft, for the same reason. no taylor swift curls or waves in the movie please! in real life its lovely on her tho. but her face is so sweet looking they need to toughen her up somehow.

I could see them straightening her her but they shouldn't color it

Here is a comparison, since I know some people think they should leave her hair red. I wouldn't mind personally:

The second one looks more like Lois. I suppose you could have it be reddish-brown.

If they went with the color in The Death of Superman that would be fine with me

i wouldn't be 100% opposed to a dark auburn lois, but i really don't think that would work with Amy's coloring, with both the coloring of her skin and eyes. maybe if she had brown or green eyes or darker skin, but i really think that black hair with her complexion and blue eyes will be best.

And there will be more to come.

One a day.

Dear God.... :csad:

I know this is gonna sound really cheeky but I was kinda hoping they might see the amount of negative feedback and make a retraction on Amy's casting.
I don't know how Amy got the part, or if she even auditioned for it, but everyone has to agree that basically no-one thought she was right for the part beforehand.
I think everyone thought there was no way anyone over 31 would get the part, so they put that notion out of their minds. I think even if they thought someone over that age could get it, they would never have picked Amy. I think out of EVERYONE on the L.L casting thread only one person suggested Amy.

I know to take back a casting would seem extremely harsh but it IS Hollywood, it is full of knock-backs and disappointments. They could always do it in a professional and very diplomatic way, saying as much as they like her, the studio felt she was a little over the age range of Lois. And she wasn't quite what they wanted for this Lois.

Amy's casting is a complete contradiction to what Zack Snyder has previously said. He's said he's going for a younger, more modern, sexier cast and you could see where he was going with Henry Cavill and Diane Lane.

I have no doubt they could make Amy look young, dye her hair, go to the gym, whatever. The truth is she is nothing like what anyone was expecting for Lois. And there is solid proof of that if you go back to the L.L casting thread.

Some people are just okay with this, some people are just 'dealing with it' and some feel it's a complete mis-cast. Amy is a wonderful, talented and successful actress, I have no doubt she will have a long and amazing career, but I think they should have given some other girl a break.

This isn't against Amy, it's about having the best possible Lois for this particular franchise.

Amy is proven to be a best possible Lois for the franchise.

If you're going to use the logic that nobody mentioned Amy Adams in the casting thread as a reason for her being miscast, then so many actors cast in other roles in comic book roles were wrong for the part as well.

Including Heath Ledger for the Joker. Nobody brought him up in the casting threads. Not a soul.

With the strong likelihood that "The Man of Steel" leads into "Justice League" it's really no big deal.

She could potentially only be in this one film.

That should remove any concern about her age for the future.

you seriously want a 3 time oscar nominee off the character of lois lane?

oh yes such negative reaction the poll is telling 57 to 3 lol

Gary Oldman as Gordon

Cillian Murphy as Scarecrow

Tom Hardy as Bane

are you serious?!?! Still going on about her age and hoping they fire her before they even get started?!?! GOOD GRIEF man...get over it! She is a great actress and will do a fine job. If her age is that big of a deal DON'T GO SEE THE MOVIE. By all means sit at home. I really don't understand the reason for going on like this...

i must say i would honestly love a recast but that will never happen. i actually was praying she'd find out she was pregnant or something (see, she wins too that way!) but i realize that that is pretty much out of the realm of possibility.

so i'm going to just hope this goes well, which it probably will, because shes not a horrible actress. i just won't get a lois i will love, probably one i can only "like". besides they could recast someone truly horrible and then we'd be **** up a creek, you know?

but yeah this is kinda disappointing to me.
