And Now My Lounge is Ended

It would put a serious damper on my week for sure. Luckily I have another one I can use I just need to get the back tire fixed.

Well, I have 3 I picked up this weekend. The one I used this morning is just a Walmart bike I believe. One of the ones I got this weekend was a Specialized which I'm told is a very good bike. Another one is kind of a parts bike.

I don't really know jack about bikes but plan on getting into it a bit. There is a cool shop not far from me that teaches you how to take care of your bike. We also have lots of cool trails and stuff out here.

Mine is a Fuji Mountain Bike, I posted pics of it in the bike thread.

Biking is def not my first choice, but until I get my license fixed and a car it looks like I am now a biker. From what I understand going north/south in this county can be a pain. I'm nowhere near being able to handle that to get to and from work anyway but maybe one day.

LOL. Thankfully I only do biking for leisure. I drive whenever or wherever I need to go or do.

That's quite a lot of movies CC, DANG!!!

That just seems odd to me Dukester. You'll probably live a whole hell of a lot longer than me though haha.

I just take it one day at a time.

Duke i've probably close to 1300 at this point, if not more, but i'm going through a bunch of them and will be getting rid of them.

i've already donated some old DVDs to the library and sold a few. some titles i am upgrading to digital streaming, especially titles i don't "need" to have a physical copy of.

quite a few will probably be future prizes in art contests here too. some of my collection is still sealed

I think the only sealed movie I have is a bluray titled Chappie. LOL

I've never seen the movie either.

One day I will have to count my DVDs....until then I can only guestimate it at 6,000.

Most of mine have been taken out of their original packaging and put in paper sleeves. These sleeves are then put in these neat little plastic boxes you can get at most any office supply store that hold around 100 discs per box. I have several of the bookcases you can get at WalMart and put together yourself...these can hold 40 boxes per bookcase. I have the boxes separated by genre (war, western, sci fi, horror, martial arts, miscellaneous)...I also have a bunch I have separated by actor (so I can alphabetically easily find certain actors I like)....and I have a group of boxes (also alphabetical) of TV series. My superhero DVDs I have mostly kept in their original packaging...but have 4 boxes of superhero stuff I did have to take out of their original packaging for one reason or another.

Right now, I basically keep track of it all in my head.

do you have the original packages somewhere or did you throw them away? i hope the former!

are you strictly dvd and vhs? (i think i remember you saying you had some stuff on vhs and you converted some to dvd?) or do you get blu rays too?

I go for boxed sets where I can. Case in point - my Mad Max anthology. It came with original artwork used in the theatrical posters. Those I keep. Its the slipcases I tend to toss, unless they're really nice (for a slipcase) like The Hateful 8's.

I keep all my movies intact the way they came.

I just can't understand what the point of buying a BR in the digital age is. I can get anything I want for free anytime that I want it so why I would want to waste space with a physical copy is beyond me. That's just me I guess.

I have tossed the original plastic boxes (that was the whole point of putting them in plastic sleeves....if I kept the boxes I would have no room at all)....I only have one bluray (it was a gift) and have only a few dozen VHS tapes left (I transfered most to DVD then sold them at half price books).

A lot of the first blurays that I bought a while back came with digital copies. I uploaded them all to my laptop & had a blast with them. Unfortunately, my hard drive crashed & all that was in it, including the movies were not salvageable, all LOST. Thankfully, I still have the physical, hard, copies of them.

Tis never lost good sir, the internet has everything you could ever want for free and as many times as you want it.

LOL. The last time I downloaded music from a dubious site, my laptop got infected, never again.

The interwebs have come a long way from the days of Limewire and crap like that. If you can read a comment on a webpage you can keep anything bad from ever happening to your pc. It's quite simple really.

Best of luck Kev. It's never easy. Just an FYI I think that the type of stretching I'm talking about is gonna be about reversing the aches the type of stretching you're talking about are gonna cause. :sly:

Good luck!

I survived. Did a bit under quota and the boss whined about it but they kept running off with people so of course we didn't hit it. :p

As for the aches, most of my aches tend to be feet anyway but a little while off them and I'm fine.

Good thing is that I only work tomorrow from 5:00PM-9:30PM so I get to sleep a bit. Of course Thursday I work the same 5:00-9:30 but Fri I open at 8:30 am. Saturday I get to work at my job at the Farmers Market at 8:00am to 2PM then my other job from 4:00pm to whenever we close. :(
