The way they killed Cyclops alone disqualifies that movie from ever being considered good by myself. Sure, the other films didn't do Scott any favors but TLS literally treats him like a footnote and makes the Jean and Logan relationship the primary one.

No Lilandra/Xavier horrible love plot or dumb connection to the Shia'ar, that stupid nonsense is one of the things I DESPISE about Claremont's work on the team, it is so dumb and awful, and the cartoon adaption from the 90s being dumber made me hate it more, what made it worse is Lilandra's brother's lust for Cyclops and Havok's mom, and he's from a far far Galaxy from Earth.

Dark Phoenix stuff being deep rooted into Jean's psyche and is something she needed to control is an idea I actually like a lot, but to this day it still makes me wonder why Chucky never had it, he's a psychic, he should suffer from it too, right? But from my understanding his psychic abilities have different stats, so I guess that is how it didn't cause him to be affected by Dark Phoenix stuff or something like that?
