 Sweet Darwyn Cooke is my favourtie artist but what happened to the The Spirit ongoing he was meant to be doing?

It'll probably be out some time during 52, or after the Batman/Spirit crossover is finished by Cooke and Jeph Loeb.

Here's the interview with Cooke when he talks about penciling along with writing the ongoing, there's not a doubt in my mind it'll be worth reading.

Thanks for the link, anything by Cooke is worth reading he's my favourite artist and one of my favourite writers (the New Frontier is my all time favourite comic) did you ever read Batman:ego by him?

Ego is the novel which involves Bruce entering the cave and constantly having a near psychotic babble with himself, as both Bruce Wayne and Batman. Correct? It circles around Batman trying to get information on The Joker by a man who he's interrogated, but later that man commits suicide after Bruce's actions endangered the lives of his wife and daughter. Joker doesn't care if it was Batman who forced the information or that this man's family is innocent of all doings. It's the Joker for one and he gets revenge, even if it's months after the fact. Yes, I've read it.

When Dini was announced it was also announced that Rags Morales would be the penciler. Now DC has changed it and they will have rotating pencillers, with Rags doing a few issues and other guys doing other issues.

Well.....could have something to do with Rags schedule. Either way though, good writing is good writing.

DC changed the penciller because Rags had some family problems and couldn't do all the issues. J.H. Williams III will now do the first three I think and then Rags Morales, Darwyn Cook and Tim Sale (and maybe someone else) will do the rest.

Hmmm......Tim Sale should be interesting. I haven't read anything with him in a long time.

Ego sounds interesting.

Ya. As far as I'm concerned he only penciled for TLH, DV, and HK.

Yeah, but they're all not very new. Classic titles, but the last time I read anything recent (I've got DV ready to read, although I'm re-reading TLH first) was his covers for 'TEC.

Nothing ground breaking though, huh?

I was actually thinking about checking out Children of Dreams.....I mean, an Anime Batman might not seem so bad......hmmm....

Yea. Great Classics. TLH is my favorite and DV is my second favorite Batman Graphic Novel.

DV is the current continuity of Robin's origin, right?

Yea. But I have not read Robin: Year One. That would obviously have to do with it but even though I have not read it yet I bet it is after DV introducing him as Robin.

If you feel adventurous, then check it out. But be ready to frown, just in case. The book had it's moments.

Yeah.....I think I'll pick it up when I'm feeling more ballsy. I looking to check out other Bat-books. Thrillkiller is one I think I'll pick up, for example.

Is that the one with Batman, Nightwing, and Batgirl on it? Batgirl and Nightwing had different suits in that cover I believe.

Tim Sale also teamed up with Jeph Loeb with the Catwoman story "When In Rome" and its set in Long Halloween/Dark Victory continuity. Haven't read it yet, I know that its out in Hard Cover but don't know if its out as a softcover yet.

Ya I heard about that. It is supposed to be what Catwoman does when she goes to Italy for six months in DV.

A female Joker...? I dunno.....actually sounds kinda.....hot.

That's odd......

In thrillkiller, there's a pic I saw that looks like a female Joker.

I mean this.

Does anyone have a full body pic of the Joker from Thrillkiller......just wonderin' how different the costume must be.

Btw....is it a good story? An elseworld story atleast.

It's really worth reading, it's one of the elseworlds that I enjoyed. The only thing is that Bruce Wayne's parents are murdered by their own servants.
