The original casting description said he would first appear in 11 and 12, and Mientus confirmed that he had shot two episodes on his twitter account, and the set pictures fro his first episode leaked right after they finished filming episode 10.

Mientus admitted that he had a lot on his mind. He did say, however, that he's more worried about pleasing the comic book fans than he is an ambassador.

“With the gay thing, I feel like I’m representing a whole community,” Mientus said. “People are excited to see this character, so it is a lot of pressure. But I’m glad they are introducing the character to the show. It’s a huge step forward, and I’m thrilled to help make that happen. It’s awesome.”
