I’d say just go Earth One Alfred for Serkis, as far as his appearance goes. Mustaches don’t seem to work for Serkis, but he does well with beards.

Whether Reeves actually characterizes Alfred like his Earth One counterpart, I dunno. But I don’t see any reason why that visual design couldn’t be used for Serkis’ Alfred.

Much prefer him to Penguin, but he's great as Alfred. Any role, to be exact.

I'm more and more skeptical with the casting of this movie. So far I like Pattinson and Dano, I'm unsure about Wright and Serkis and I don't like Kravitz and Farrell. So I guess I'm like 50/50. I'm mostly hyped about Reeves and I can surely end up being pleasantly surprised but so far I'm not feeling it much.

He can sell the comedy and there’s a warmth to Serkis that I like.

You need an Alfred with a lot of spark or charm to play off Bruce. It’s why Caine was so great imo, and why Irons was a bit too dull.
