Annie Remake

I don't think Sandra Bullock can pull off mean & nasty very well, I say bring back Carol Burnett as her mother & have her act the same way as she did in the original Annie as Ms. Hannigan now that would be very entertaining.

Miss Hannigan is really a comedic role, though. She's terrible to the kids, but she's always gotten the biggest laughs because of the way she talks to them.

Sandra Bullock could totally pull that off.

I don't see Sandra Bullock as Miss Hannigan. She might, though, very well be up for the role of Grace, Daddy Warbucks' love interest and surrogate mother to Annie.

Damn. I was hoping Jane Lynch would be reprising her Broadway role in this film, not Cameron Diaz or Sandra Bullock.

Lynch would be gold in this film, probably as good as Carol Burnett was.

Great to see Jamie Foxx in a musical, and love Rose Byrne in general. Good thing I won't have to choose between this and Into The Woods.

I didn't know that Rose Byrne was in this movie, cool.

Andrea McCardle (the original Broadway Annie) cameo'd in the 1999 made-for-TV remake as the 'Star to Be':

This was her at the Tony Awards in 1977:

So it's possible we could see some cameos here.

Here's a clip from the Katie show with Aileen Quinn (movie Annie), Andrea McCardle (original Broadway Annie), and Lilla Crawford (Annie in the Broadway revival that opened last year) all together:

Still wondering if the new movie is going to take place at Christmas or 4th of July.

Lilla is going to be playing Little Red Riding Hood in the Into the Woods movie coming out next year. I saw her as Annie, she was really good.

Yeah, pretty much my reaction.

Bad singing, bad acting in those scenes.
