Annihilation Conquest

Wait, I tell my girlfriend that her Ariel avvy actually scares me and she says "tough". But PJ suggests less princesses and she goes "Ok!"

Oooooohhh, I want a divorce!
Divorces are a thing of the past. Make a deal with the devil instead.

You need to go to Brother Love's Traveling Salvation Show.

What in the name of Jeebus happend here? What's with all the Disney avvys?

Yeah, I'm not a follower. Don't expect anything Disney from me.

Besides, if I had to use one, I'd probably get something from THE BLACK CAULDRON, and there are few pics of that, and hardly anyone saw that one. :p

It was awesome, though. Disney's first PG animated movie.

It had to be editted twice to avoid a PG-13 because they cut one scene where an undead guy kills someone. This flick was Disney's first attempt to reach out to an older audience, and it failed. This was back when Disney was in some doldrums after their Golden Age ended, until LITTLE MERMAID in the late 80's. Heck, the success of MERMAID kept CAULDRON from seeing a video release until 1998. It also got a bare bones DVD some years ago and that is it.

I rented it during my kick to rent as many Don Bluth films as possible that I hadn't seen. A lot of bits are generic fantasy, but the Horned King is one of the creepiest Disney villains there is, really. And how many Disney cartoons have nasty looking Undead Warriors rising up?

The creepiest, scariest Disney villian by FAR is Maleficent.

From SLEEPING BEAUTY? I think I saw that once or twice, and the last time was a decade ago, so my memory is foggy. That's the witch lady who turns into a dragon?

As a hetereosexual man, there's only so many times I can watch stuff like SLEEPING BEAUTY, or CINDERELLA for that matter. Now THAT I haven't seen in almost a generation, and I'm not that old.

Ratigan from GREAT MOUSE DETECTIVE had his moments. There's also Syndrome. ;) I loved THE INCREDIBLES.

Yeah, like I said, my memory of SLEEPING BEAUTY is foggy. I recall the general plot but not the details. Movies starring fairy princesses and whatnot are not stuff I rent too often. That's just swishy. :p Straight men can only rent that stuff and feel macho if they have to please their own children, or a wife/girlfriend who also wants to see it. Then it is okay.

Least to me. My bane is I adhere to outdated stereotypes of what "a true man" should be that neither work for me, or I can fulfill. To each their own. :o

You can't appreciate the animation, or something?

I can, but if it is something starring fairy princesses and true love and all that malarky, I feel awkward watching it, and sometimes it loses my interest unless I am in the mood for something sensitive, which I never, ever, admit to anyone. Sensitivity, mercy, and compassion are weaknesses for men that when other men sense they exist, they exploit to destroy you.

SNOW WHITE's a classic but I haven't seen that in over a decade, too. Just not usually in the mood for princess stories with magic godmothers and singing animals often.

Sleeping Beauty has a lot more than just "true love and all that malarky." It's also got pure, unadultered hate, intense battles and three hilarious fairies.
