You mean the sky is not falling?
Looks like this movie is settling in for a good run.
This does remind me a little of Homecoming in the sense that there was some panic in the first couple of weeks, but then it had legs in the late summer. Maybe that early July slot tends to backload the box office a little, compared to most Marvel movies.
I highly doubt Teen Titans will come anywhere close to Mission Impossible next weekend though, so unless I'm severely underestimating Teen Titans, any effects of differences in demographics will be completely overruled by the sheer size difference.
Yeah, it's less than $1M away from catching up to it after Tuesday. Going to take a while longer to fully catch up to it though because of Thor 2's Thanksgiving boost.
I'd also bet on AM&tW outgrossing Thor 2's $206.4M DOM at this point. Once it catches up, it should be able to keep/extend its lead.
I agree with this. Due to the bloat of the summer I wasn't able to see it opening weekend either. That being said, I'll be seeing it again this coming Sunday.Honestly I didn't even get to see this movie until a couple weeks in. I can see it being a film that people don't rush out to see Day 1, but they definitely get out to see before it's gone.
Glad though it is holding nicely and do just fine. Walking into puns, but it's fine for this not to be a huge film. They knew exactly what they were doing with this movie.

The film's overall cume will be another feather in the MCU cap, but hopefully they'll look at better release dates next time. It wasn't a fatigue, but more of a refractory period after Infinity War. We needed more time or space away from that movie. A less busy summer release schedule would've helped.
I'd like to see Marvel utilize that last weekend of July/first weekend of August slot again.
Next year all three MCU movies come out only two months apart so I hope that does not hurt their box office - of course CAPTAIN MARVEL could get a little bump after A4 if she is a big enough part of it...and Spidey 2 is in the early July slot...
I sure hope it can reach 700 million when all's said and done.
I think 700 mil WW total is unlikely unless it does triple the money the first one did in China.
I dont think it will pass 650 mil.
550 - 625 mil WW will be the total.
If it even comes within sniffing distance of 600 that'll be a huge win, IMO.
