With all the hype about the new Batman game, I'm really dying to hear some Spidey game news.

Last game was shadows - I haven't heard a thing since?

Well, tbh, Radical Entertainment is making a Spider-Man game, set to be released in 2010. Same people that made the game Prototype.

And wanted to share it with you guys. It doesn't say anything other than Activision is working on a new SM game. I'm looking forward to it, whatever it is! I just hope it's better than WoS.

Radical's a good developer, hope it's better than WoS. I think I need a break from symbiote themed games, too.

I'm begging for a game to have Green Goblin (Norman) as the main villain. We rarely have that type of game, sure there are ones with Gobby in it, but very few with him as the MAIN focus villain.

We haven't ever had a Spidey game with 616 Goblin as the main villain, to my knowledge. A Spidey game with either Doc Ock or Green Goblin as the main villain would be welcome.

Agree! I think it's time for a game that involves the Sinister Six, but Green Goblin could still be in that game. That would be like, a dream come true.

I would love to see a game with The Green Goblin as the main villain. I want Norman to be the Goblin of course. And obviously they could have other villains too like, Doc Ock, Electro, Kingpin, Vulture or possibly The Sinister Six? How about The Hobgoblin? The Hobgoblin hasn't been in any of the Spider-Man games as far as I'm concerned. Then again, I don't know much about games, not even Spider-Man games for that matter. But no symbiotes! I'm sick of the symbiote being the main focus in almost every Spider-Man game!

I would love to see The Spectacular Spider-Man tv series as a game too.

The game should be like Spider-Man 1 on the PS1/N64. The game wasn't free-roam but everyone liked it because there was so many cameos and villains.

One of the reasons I love Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro is because of the voice acting. Such thing can really make a difference imo. Rino Romano nailed Peter Parker/Spider-Man and the other characters he did. The quipping was excellent and it really felt like Spider-Man (something WoS failed bigtime at). However, I think it would be quite hard to have a game without freeroam and still maintain the awesome swing-mechanics. It could maybe work if it wasn't freeroam, but with quite large areas to move around in. Though, it would be hard to do without invisible walls, which feel quite outdated by now.

no free roam = no purchase. Seriously there is not reason to take away things just to relive the glory days of Spiderman 1 on the PS1 which compared to Spider-man 2 (the movie game) is really a poor game.
