Anyone else have trouble living in the present?

I'm a huge dreamer. I live most of my life thinking about where I want to go in my life, and what I want to see happen with myself.

Not at all. However, it's not enough to be a dreamer. You have to be a doer as well. For instance, I dream of becoming an actor. If I don't bust my ass to realize that dream, then I can expect to be disappointed.

That's the kind of problem I run into. I often dream about things, but it stops there. I make very little effort at trying to achieve them.

I don't think anybody really lives in the now. I don't. I'm always looking ahead a few years.

I mean, everyone I know my age doesn't seem to have a direction in their life. They're completely without motivation. Why is that?

this is true, i didn't say it was a good thing that i live in the past at times...just can't help it sometimes.

That'll do it... I find struggling gives you a drive. We're counting our pennies at the end of every month, and thats what makes me study. I dobn't want to be poor my whole life.
