I enjoy going to see a movie with my friends dont get me wrong, especially all the Marvel films so we can discuss and joke afterwards about it, and speculate.

I find more serious movies like Lincoln I like to go by myself sometimes because I find I really get into the film a lot more when I'm alone.

There is absolutly no shame in going to the movies alone. I've been doing it since I was a teenager. In truth I kind of prefer it now. I have esoteric taste in films and sometimes can feel the person I'm with beside me not enjoying it which in turn lowers my enjoyment and makes me guilty. Big films tend to be better with a group though.

I have only been to movies by myself once, for Revenge of the Sith. My current gf was pretty pissed because she wanted me to spend time with her that night. But come on, it's Star Wars were talking about

Yep me too, except for when visiting my dad with my brothers then we all go to see a movie together but for the most part everywhere I go (movies, mall, comic cons) I do by myself.

I don't have friends or a GF and I don't like having people sitting next to me at the movies which is why I sit way in the back too.

I usually see a movie with my brother or a few friends, but if the only way to see a movie is to go by myself I would do it. The only people who really give a **** are teens who are only going there to be seen, and I usually go to matinees to avoid people who talk during the movie like those bastards. Even then I really don't care about their opinions considering criticizing a person for seeing a movie by themselves is a silly thing to do.

Going movie by yourself is not lame but convenient. You do not have to be sorry about long line to watch your choice and even if your choice sucked.

I go to movies alone all the time. No one else likes the movies that I do.

I will go to movies alone. Mostly its because I moved to a different state and all my friends live elsewhere.

But even back home a lot of people pretend they are too good for certain types of movies. Pisses me off but w/e. Their loss.

I prefer to watch movies alone because I can focus more on watching the movie, I can watch the trailers and I don't have to say anything when I'm watching the movie.

But when I watch the movie with someone, I usually missed the trailers and the start of the movie (which really annoys me) and they will ask me things.
