I swear I get these things in the mail at least twice a week, and the first thing I wonder is how they actually stay in business since I know I've never ordered anything from them, and I'm pretty sure quite a few others who receive these catalogues probably didn't order anything either.

But I still can't help but peek inside ... so much COOL stuff! Well, some of it is junk, and most of it is overpriced, but I read it just to see what's new on the market, and if it's something I like then I'll buy it at Best Buy or something...

Still, I don't want to stop receiving the magazines, and yet I really don't ever plan on ordering anything from them. Is that a moral question? Should I be saving the trees or something? The dilemma is that they make GREAT reading material while sitting on the can...

Who's with me?

Oh, and name your favorite item in a Fingerhut or other 'Random Retailer' magazine you've gotten in the mail. For me, it would have to be Fingerhut's 'total relaxation recliner with heated massage and stereo sound!'

what the hell is fingerhut?

Fingerhut is a retail mail order company. They usually bombard the mail to everyone around the holidays. They also have a website, but I'd advise against joining unless you actually want to receive these catalogues yourself...

Remember. They're good reading material on the can. Best of luck in your decision. :woot:

Fingerhut and other such mailings are a tremendous waste of resources. I literally have three DirectBuy catalogs on my desk right now. WTF!?! Like I said, this country is getting dumb, dumb, dumb,

My mom used to order from them a long time ago. In fact, that's how my brother and sister got their first NES and original gameboy. But then she got credit cards and started putting stuff on credit in real stores. :o

I don't know if we get the catalogued anymore though.

I didn't think Fingerhut was around anymore. I used to buy Sega Genesis games through them. great play to buy if you were young and haven't established any credit. Although they are extremely expensive because of the interest they used to charge.

Like I said, good reading material, but not good for much else. Still, I'm leaning toward saving the trees and telling them to stop sending them to me. Decisions, decisions...
