Main reasons are the better and darker storylines. AOS isn't forced to add silly humor that kills the dramatic tension. Disney is trying reach the widest audience possible so that forces them to cater to the masses. AOS has more freedom to have darker and more adult oriented storylines.

When I read comic books as a kid they had a serious tone about them that MCU doesn't have. MCU feels more like a Sat day morning cartoon than a comic book. AOS delivers that comic book feel that the MCU lacks. Not to mention the acting on AOS especially this season blows away anything in the MCU.

When you have a great actor like Benedict Cumberbatch and force him to act silly with some cringeworthy humor thats uncalled for. They should take some lessons from the X-Men universe and allow the actors to act. Nobody in the MCU comes close to the performances of Fasbender or Mcavoy.

That's such a random comparison as far as acting goes because there are good actors in the MCU and DCEU just as there are with the X-Men films.

To answer the question, no.

I'll go with "no" and "most of your premises range from debatable to factually-wrong". I'm sure there are people who like AoS better than the movies, but the coherent reasons for them doing so are not the reasons you suggest.

The movies will always get more bums on seats purely for the spectacle of it all, but I think Agents of SHIELD has done it's villains and it's romantic storylines noticeably better than the movies have.

I can't imagine that there are too many AoS fans that don't also like the MCU. The overlap is probably huge.

Have we been watching the same show? I like it a lot but Agents of SHIELD has more forced, silly humor than the MCU movies. The acting in SHIELD is also subpar compared to the films.

An absolutely fascinating opinion, Tyrone Parker. I'd like to hear more of your rationale, because such an opinion is so incredibly rare.

lol There is nothing adult oriented or dark about Agents of SHIELD...no more than the average MCU movie anyway.
