Oh you noticed her conspicuous absence from my list, eh? Damn, thwarted. Now you know that there is no way they would pass up having Felicity geek it out with Winn..

I generally don't laugh either but I will smile. At any rate, the CW shows are like junk food while the DC movies are like gourmet food terribly prepared.
.That's actually a really good analogy. Especially since most people would rather eat a hamburger and fries, than prime rib that's been half-burnt and doused in some kind of unidentifiable sauce.
Aren't they working on Black Lightning?
I wish it were Superman.
Geoff Johns teases new as of yet unannounced DC TV show

And people say there are too many superhero films. Its the excessive tv superhero stuff that people should be worried about. Could they at least get rid of some of the older shows first. There is a lot of money to be made on tv huh.
I know it's been said time and time again the current berlantiverse won't be co opted into the DCEU.
But any thoughts on a future series set within the DCEU? Something like an "Agents of Argus", or Nightwing series that exists within the universe.

Still not sure what exactly Krypton is, but it doesn't even have an earth based setting to tie into.
Krypton is by David Goyer and from what I understand it ties in with Man of Steel. So probably the closest to a TV show with ties to the DCEU.
Why would they want to get rid of shows still making money? It's like saying the other networks need to get rid of their current cop shows to make room for other cops shows because there are already too many cops shows on TV.
Because Supergirl made that redundant.Ugh ! Why bother ? Why not just roll out an enjoyable show about ****ing Superman that ties in with the other DC tv shows ?
Because Supergirl made that redundant.
Today's SyFy is probably the only place I can see Krypton being developed well, but then you realize David Goyer is more worn out than Berlanti.
Poor Goyer, whose ineptitude couldn't get more viewers for Constantine.
Like I said redundant. Cut Supergirl from her own show and title it 'Superman'. No one would be the wiser.Actually, that's the Superman I was referring to - using his appearance on Supergirl to spring-board a new show.
Berlanti's very limited to the point where he's incapable of thinking this outside of the box (since there barely is a box to base off), which is why his shows are "generic and cheesy". You're not going into a Krypton prequel 2 generations removed from Kal-El expecting the kind of things that plague his shows. I figured Supergirl would be the ultimate test of how much he could branch out. Then you realize it's just The Flash all over again with not remotely subtle Superman parallels. And yeah, Goyer........ not the guy I'd pick to create an engaging prequel show - I'd go with Berlanti first, because (while his show might be a bit generic and cheesy) it would at least be fun.
It was too straightforward. If you've seen a demon hunting buddy cop thriller, you know the one, you've seen Constantine. Only difference being it's on the network that could've you given something as interesting as Hannibal. Poor Goyer.I didn't see enough of Constantine to really judge it properly, I thought the lead pretty decent but the show seemed to be caught between a rock and a hard place: lacking the sheer nastiness of the comics, so it didn't appeal to the fans, and at the same time not being straightforward enough to appeal to a wider audience - is that a fair criticism, it's only based on a couple of episodes ?
Same page ! Hoechlin's Superman was amazing, with a very small amount of screen time.
That scene where he saves the family from the drone, by blocking the bullets with his body, blasts the drone with heat vision, and then he winks at them before flying off.

To me that's a quintessential Superman moment- if I had to introduce someone to Superman, who'd never heard or seen the character before, that's what I'd show them.
They could build a show around him, easy.
We also don't really need another cheesy CW DC series. It's getting excessive now.
I'll take them any day over yet another NCIS: Random US City from Donald Bellisario or another Chicago Municipal Worker from Dick Wolf.
Or another Marvel superhero that doesn't want to be a superhero that Netflix churns out. If you want to talk about excessive and generic.
