I bet you jump to the last page of the story don't you?
Im not sure what you mean exactly. If you mean i read the ending of stories first, no.
The Lois/Arthur thing was not done well. I dont know why she would even like the guy besides the fact he has a good body. The lois I know would have made more fun of him then the color scheme of his outfits. His lame badboy surfer additude made my eyes roll. The sad Lois ending was a bit much, its not like thier romance was anything special. And if he would have made anymore references to the water, I would have turned off the tv.

"Im gonna float around for awhile" "I'll swim by later" and so on and so on.

Is that supposed to be cute? It got hella annoying along with "Bro" or "Brah" or however he was saying it. Barf

Now Im a huge fan of the show, HUGE. But I feel this was as much of a waste of my time as Velocity was. They had good intentions but it was badly executed.

Great

It is OBVIOUS Lex knows who those 2 were that zoomed off

Lex is gonna be turning his attention to Clark again

I enjoyed it even though maybe they did overdo it with the silly references. I have a tendency to overlook that stuff. I understood why they set her up with A.C. and yes it seemed rushed, but he was pretty persistent and you could see how she softened when she realized he wasn't going for her tough girl act. She needed to get that taste of a superhero. However badly you think it was played it was meant as foreshadowing.

Like I said about overlooking stuff. I agree the bro and bra stuff was grating, but I've learned to tune things out when they begin to irritate me. Wait until you have kids or a really naggy spouse.

I do agree with you on some things, but overall I still think the season is going well. I haven't been disappointed yet and actually pleasantly suprised for the most part.

for sho you see the look he gave after he looked

It is about time Clark wants to bring Lex & Lex Corp down

Bah I hate the OBVIOUS foreshadowing of the future at the end of this Episode. Can this show get more obvious then what Loist & Clark talked about at the end :down

ROFL!
^5 <--that's a high five, btw. :D

Can't believe no one's mentioned the continuity nod to last week with Clark wearing the bandage where he got shot.

Does Welling seem to have lost some muscle tone??? I thought I saw some love handles.....

Yeah I didn't like the bro thing about AC either. I hope they aren't seriously considering this guy to play Aquaman on the big screen because, unless he steps it up a notch, he won't even compare to the guys we have playing superheroes right now. I mean c'mon guys he may look like Aquaman but next to the seriously-improved Tom Welling and everyone else on the show he's not that good of an actor. Then again Tom and the others do have more experience, but still...

I noticed a lack of Lana and Chloe in this ep. Oh yeah and where's Lionel? Anyway does anyone agree with me on Lex's recent rushed transformation?

I thought the "bro" thing was funny as hell. I know how culture views that Aquaman is lame and by him saying that and the way Lex looked at him, just showed that nobody has respect for Aquaman. And the fact that AC didn't care and that he was still going to save the world was cool. I don't know it just seemed to fit with me like they were playing with the corny part about Aquaman but showing that it doesn't really matter because he kicks a**! Not as good as an episode for Season 5 and not better than "Run" but it was still a solid good episode for the season.

I loved the episode,

(1) Lois looked SUPER HOT in the Red bikini . (Erica got one hell of a nice body.)

(2) All the Lois & Clark scenes were great. I love the ending (The Forshadowing was super in this episode.)

(3) Clark & Pro. Fine (James is awesome, I can't wait to see more of him.)

(4) Clark & Lex (that was amazing , This is the begining of the end for them, From Best friends to Enemies .)

(5) Lex vs. a weak Aquaboy. (Amazing, Lex is becoming worst than his father, SOB Lex Luthor = (THE REAL LEX LUTHOR) is begining to take compleate control of good Lex.)

(6) Superboy vs. Aquaboy (Underwater fight)

(7) Aquaboy (he wasn't as good as Kid Flash, but still enjoyable .)

i think the episode was nicely written, but because of the actor they hired to play Aquaman, it ruined it for me.

worst. actor. ever. but physically, he made a perfect aquaman.

everytime he opened his mouth, it just ruined it for me.

the underwater scene rocked.. thank god no speaking was involved.

:sigh:

oh well. the previous 3 episodes were too good. maybe it was time we were brought down for a bit. next week's episode looks ridiculous. but it's about lana so it's all good.

also, not liking that lois is randomly back to bumming around teh kent's and smallville, being a loser townie once again. :down

Smallville Season 5 IMO: 4/4

Oh, and this is pretty much off topic but to those who know...didn't Professor Fine/Brainiac give off kind of a Christian Troy kind of vibe (Nip/Tuck)?

Seriously, I dont know why everyone is praising this episode. The dude who played Aquaman was a horrible actor that had no chemistry with anyone, especially Lois on screen. And the whole romance was completely forced. Why waist our time with that crap instead of actually flushing out the main part of the story?
Lex was great in his scene with Aquaman though and Marsters was Fine, pun intended. I hope his character really turns out, I like him as an actor, I know it was merely an into to him, but I was hoping for some more sinister crap from his end, even if it wasnt visable to Clark.
And there was like no pace to this episode, it seemed strung togeather with no climax.

Bah.

I gotta say I agree with DZ....Compared to 'Run' this wasn't quite as good. I really don't have much to add. Though, this was still better than half of season 4, so....

And that Durance...

I only caught the last 20 mins of this episode...taped it and going to watch all the episode tomorrow...but the scene with Prof Fine...I thought at first it was Julian McMahon/Christian from Nip/Tuck guest starring...then I relaized it was Brainiac.

Had a hockey game tonight so just saw the ep now. I enjoyed it, it wasnt the greatest episode and Aquaman isnt one of my favorite characters, but I think it got it's point across with Clark being more wordly. The actor who played Aquaman, while not great by any means, was good enough for the role. His phrases that seemed to bother some, really didnt bother me, then again I grew up in shore town and was a surf rat for many a summer. I also liked the setup of Marsters character, and I didnt see anyone else talk about all the hints that were given about him being an "educator". That's going to be very true in more than one sense of the world.

Will post more thoughts in the morning.

As for next week, I'm not sure about it. But the writers have been on fire this season so far, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt..Plus from what I hear there's going to be a scene with Clark thats going to put the fans into a minor tizzy... (a good one)

It was good. Not near what last week was but good. Really solid start this season, but next week could end that.

SV is getting this habit of not just making nods to certain things, but blatantly pointing them out in a manner thats almost insulting to the average intelligence of a human being

cough

I got a total kick out of this ep. There were a few tiny things that weren't perfect. Aqua man did have to grow on me but by the end of the ep, I was even enjoying him. Loved all the forshadowing and Lex is a very nasty boy now which is so good. MR must be really enjoying himself. I am unspoild so I don't know what is coming between the prof and Clark but it is looking good because the 2 of them played off each other well.

Posterbation.

Decent episode. It's kinda hard to knock it too much considering we just had Hidden.

Aquaman was decent but the surfer schtick got a little old, but it was no biggie. He and Clark worked really well together.

Next week's looks a little subpar though.

Oh, and despite what some may say, Durance looked bangin' like she always does.

Here's the thing about the fight: it was literally three moves. AC attacks, Clark attacks, then AC does the waterball move....and somehow can see Clark on the land and smiles from within the lake. It sucked. The sole thing that was good about this episode was Professor Fine.
