Unless Rian Johnson rushes through his script, the D&D film is coming first. If only because Johnson's schedule won't clear up until September at the earliest because of Knives Out post-production, while D&D are probably working on theirs now.

Did you also think Aquaman should've moved against the likes of Mary Poppins Returns? Different beasts, yes, but WB has shown that their film can win out in the holiday season, particularly overseas where Star Wars isn't exactly highly regarded. No need for WB to blink here when they didn't last time.

They can have a different release date overseas, I believe they released AQM 2 weeks ahead of the US release in China. However in the US and North America, Star Wars will win the weekend.

I wouldn't bet on this. Simply as it is the end of the saga and JJ actually knows how to please crowds unlike Johnson.

I have no doubt it will be better than TLJ but I doubt enough people will give them the benefit of the doubt to see for themselves, well enough people to earn over 1.3 mld
