Are there any banned Members that you kind of miss? - Part 2

Believe me.......if I wanted an infraction I am sure I could get one. I have done so in the past.

This is not an instance of that, but moreso my questioning of calling people trolls. Some people are not trolls. They just don't agree. That should be recognized, but people in the "Are there any banned members you kind of miss?" just call them trolls and that is not always accurate.

Again, I'm not trying to start a fight, but I'm not willing to be marked by some folks who feel it's their cause to mark me.

I'm not trying to 'mark you', however the tone and message of your posts seemingly aren't a world away from what Young Prime was trying to accomplish.

You've asked "what is a troll" and received a few answers, but they don't seem to be what you're looking for (if in fact you're looking for an answer and not merely interested in just asking the question). My advice would be accept what's been said, take what mods have told you as a warning and draw a line on the subject. Otherwise I think your next few posts will probably play out like Young Prime's did.

Though that's just my impression of your posts on this subject so far.

You know what? Since people are getting into arguments, I might as well get into an argument in the thread too.

Oh, you have no idea. Alexei at one point had the entire Avengers forum gridlocked with his arrogant and often nonsensical arguments. He couldn't just make a point once or twice and drop it, but felt compelled to post the same things incessantly. The man was relentlessly negative about Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, Robert Downey Jr. and the interconnected Marvel Cinematic Universe. Every interview with Feige set him off; every promotional image featuring Downey and Iron Man led to a rant about the actor and character ruining The Avengers; every rumor caused another Alexei jeremiad about how Marvel was creating mediocre movies with no critical or dramatic merit. He was the only poster who derailed entire threads for days and he seemed to revel in the discord he caused.

It wasn't just that Alexei disagreed with people, but that he was so very disagreeable about it. All of us have disagreements from time to time, and many (if not most) manage to remain civil about it. Alexei, however, often resorted to condescension and personal attacks. He claimed that anyone who disagreed with him simply had no idea what constituted good cinema and lacked the taste and discernment to understand the points he was trying to make. Even though he occasionally admitted that he had not read much of the comics source material, he acted as though he was an expert (i.e., insisting that the Inhumans were Loki's army, then switching to the Knights of Wundagore, even though neither group are aliens). And he acted as though his opinions were facts, while accusing others of the same mistake.

In short, Alexei was the kind of person the "ignore" list was created for. I'm surprised that he lasted as long as he did, after all the bad blood he intentionally caused.

Yep. And after all the BS of dealing with Mercuruius in the Captain America threads, I had little paitence for arguing and spending pages proving him wrong too.

This sums it up very well, between this and your post on the Rescue armor in the IM3 thread is an example of how a good poster can just as easily be noticed as a troll.

*Tips my hat*.....

Okay Hunter :woot:

Hey, Parker? Remember that time I beat you with a tube sock full of nickels for giving me sass?

No?

That's because it hasn't happened yet. :argh::o

I understand the rules of SHH....but there are other trolls lurking in the background who are **** starters who like to call themselves.....

Don't worry, I am not like any poster you have met :woot:

I tend to annoy everyone I feel like because it's funny, to me anyway, but I'm not a troll :D . So there's trolling and then there's being just annoying enough to get away nearly anything. So you can annoy people, just don't keep it going for days on the same thing and get half the forum mad at you.

I gotta admit, this made me lol.

Fair enough.

Uh, I might be wrong, but I would think that annoying someone because you find that funny would be trolling regardless of how long you keep it going...

Yes but it goes along with whatever's happening and it's not regarded as mean or just being a jerk for the sake of it.

Edit: Ya know, I can't explain it properly right now. I'm still a bit woozy from the drugs they gave me after my surgery.

As a quite new member here, I must say that this thread quickly got entertaining within the last pages.

I remember when in the GOTG forum, he kept saying that the movie should be trippy and acidic (his words) like Sucker Punch. I tried to point out that Marvel wouldnt do this for a couple of reasons. Then he started spouting off how I didnt like David Lynch movies. And I was all like  When I proved to him I did he kept repeating that same false point.

HE was a crazy one for sure

I remember him claiming that "truly great classic" movies didn't have deleted scenes; that the directors got it right immediately.

Honestly did a spit take when reading that.

I hate when posters do that.

Well, here's another example of AB being a *****e, pretty much constantly derailing the Avengers thread to b***h about Cap and Feige. He pretty much thought he was the devil the way AB talked about him.

I think PWN3R's post in the thread said it best.

Why are people still entertaining Alexei Belyakov? Haha, c'mon Parker Wayne.
It's ok that he has problems with the films, but he has long since crossed the troll line.

I'm going to guess his response now: "Ah, the internet. Where juvenile responses are most welcomed. I am better than you all. **** Kevin Feige."

Only you cut out the part in my post where I clearly stated that I wasn't a saint and have openly apologize on a couple of occasions. SMH

I can own up to that and still have a valid point despite the "Troll crying victim" smear champagne being applied here. Have their been any issues since then?

What really puts this all in perspective is that no one knew or even cared which mod I as even talking about until you put her name out there. They were more concerned with why I wasn't bashing a banned member I had no problems with. So whether I was bitter or impartial shouldn't even matter. However if this was your wife or a relative and if you would've PM'd me and said man to man to just let it go I could respect that.

Instead you're just grand standing for her imaginary honor which to me just sounds like you're trying to win brownie points, instead of just asking her out or something. Either way the "facts" you bring up aren't that clear cut.

And for the record under infractions it current states "zero points" they expired right after my discussion with C. Lee which was a day after the infraction. Now if I'm mistaken and expired means something else or nothing at all then I'll own up to it and apologize and leave this thread in the traditional walk of shame otherwise, I'm just leaving because what else is there to say...

I'm a little late to the party on this one, but...I'm finding out now that Hunter and I are dating? This is all I have to say about that, HR. :oldrazz:

Just to be clear, anyone who's dealt with Alexei can probably figure out why he was banned. He did that to himself.

YoungPrime, no one is trying to antagonize you. The problem is that you have done nothing but antagonize everyone in the X-Men forum since you arrived there. We get it. You don't like Fox, don't trust them with the X-Men movies anymore, and you will be seeing The Hobbit opening weekend instead of Days of Future Past (even though one of those movies will likely move from that weekend). You've made your point, there's no reason to bash members who still wish to see future X-Men movies, or randomly remind them of your adventures planned in Middle Earth that weekend. However, you chose to keep doing so.

You were warned to knock it off, you didn't. You received infractions, and the reasons why they were given were explained not just by me, but by every mod you went to so you could question it again. Short of giving a PowerPoint presentation with 3D special effects and an original score by John Williams, we've given you every plausible explanation of why you've been infracted here. It's up to you at this point to understand why your behavior in those forums was unacceptable, and it's up to you to learn how to improve your standing here.

It's not a matter of defending me personally, but trying to make you understand why you're in the spot that you're currently in. Thinking your problems here is because I'm a meanie just indicates that you clearly still don't understand your problems here. I'm only your problem on that forum because you haven't learned to behave there.

HE was a crazy one for sure

In the Wolverine forum, he was in love with the original Darren Aronofsky draft (which he claimed to have an outline of), and one scene up for debate was a scene where Wolverine apparently witnesses Yukio molesting a woman on a train.

In Alexei's world, anyone who objected that sequence just didn't get the Wolverine character.

The Aronofsky stuff was interesting, and we wound up giving the subject its own thread. The problem was that he had a fit whenever some news came from the movie that deviated from it, and treated anyone who didn't like the Aronofsky stuff as some kind of film simpleton. Again, he was given multiple warnings to knock it off, but he wouldn't.

Yeah, the more he banged on about Aronofsky's alleged script sexual molestation scene and how it was "art", the more I just :whatever: at him. He acts like he knows what art is, but I swear he just makes things up and convinces himself it's true. Alexi wouldn't know art if it tied him down and spent all day drawing him a picture.

What's funny is that his last meltdown should arguably have never happened. If he hadn't insisted that some poster had said that lesbianism on the big screen is wrong, which the poster did not, then he wouldn't have had that last argument. It was a fictitious argument. However I expect that can be said about quite a few of his arguments.

They didn't. They just thought it was too much for a comic book movie, to which he snapped and started b***hing about how comic book movies are too kiddy and should go darker, becuase Rated R comic book movies have been huge hits at the box office. :o
