I thought everything was about universally ~7 hours.

Students hours are 8:35 to 3:35 .... my hours are 8:05 to 4:05.

But, we are lengthening the day next year. Many schools are doing that now.

And no, many schools in other countries go far longer than we do here in the US. Some like in Germany are quite a bit shorter.

Okay, that makes sense. I was mostly just referring to US high schools. I graduated three years ago and did my Teacher's Assistant thing for a semester this year and couldn't imagine having the students there for a full 8 hours. Anywho, probably not the best thread for an education discussion.

From what I saw, he was a big enough fan of Conan, Ang Lee's Hulk and some other pulp/comic stuff. I also wonder what got him.

I'm glad Chickenscratch got banned. He was very knowledgeable about books, but man, the guy was such a pretentious *****e who though film and movies was such a lowly medium and looked down on anyone who enjoyed their film or tv translations over their source material. He also got pissed if even the movies even had the slightest amount wrong.

He kept saying the new Bond movies got it wrong off the bat because Bond in the books was a 00 agent way before Casino Royale.

The thing I always found confusing about Chickenscratch... he loved the new Conan despite all the things it still got wrong with the character and franchise. Then refused to see Jack Reacher simply because the actor they got to play the part was too short. Even though his height was really the only thing the movie did wrong.
