Iron Man Armor revealed!

I honestly don't know 100%, but the CG things is what I've been hearing, but it makes a lot of sense to me. I'm usually against over usage of CG, but it would work here because the suit is metal and could be rendered very realistically into CG, unlike when they try to do something organic in CG and you can easily tell it's fake.

What do you mean the Russian makes no sense? Do you mean the words don't make sense or the fact there's Russian on the boxes makes no sense??? If you meant the latter remember it's afghanistan and the Russians occupied the area in the 80's and 90's and left many weapons behind. If you meant the wording...what does it say?

I thought they were going to do as much as they could without CGI?

I heard the action will be mostly CGI because they want fluid movement but that there are actual suits of armor for the down time and close ups. I can't wait to see both!

While the suit is the star of the show, and while it's cool to make one, you have to be realistic and know that CG would be the best option, as having that big ass suit doing all that stuff isn't very cost effective.

Yeah, I'd also heard that a lot of the suit shots will be in CGI, but I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that there will also be some actual models built.

I know that the chances of catching RDJ walking around outside in his red & gold armour aren't that great - so I guess we'll be relying on the studio to release some official pics or clips of some kind.

Anyone worked out a rough timeline as to when we could expect something like that?

Is Stan Winstons' workshop still working on the suits?

Of course, I've no doubt that the CG will be top-notch but it's the actual practical, mechanical suit I can't wait to see.

...The wording is the Russian equal to "QWSFSFKJSDSKHHFSL" then the one box has wording that says "Iron Man was here" with the Dates are from 1996 -2007.. its very very confusing.

It's just random gibberish that you won't even be able to see on film. The writing doesn't have to mean anything. The "Iron Man was here" part is HILARIOUS though.

I got a kick out of it when I read it.

It's marginally funny, I'll give you that. Anyways, the point here is that when they went through the trouble of designing the logos and manufacturing the various little plates and crap that won't ever be seen on-screen (sort
of like the millions of little S-symbols on Superman's costume), then why couldn't they finish it off with *real* Russian writing? Why create insane detail in one and then wing it at another, equally important, part?

Because the average American can't read Russian?

It only matters that stuff looks authentic, not that it actually is. Also, not only will you not be able to see it on screen... it's in freaking Russian! Very few people here would know the difference.

Also, I would definitely put writing "Iron Man was here" in Russian under the category of "insane detail."

Really great photos...The Stark Industries logo definitely looks good.

They sometimes do they same thing in films even when the writing is in English. :yay:

There's more up at justjared too. It says they filmed at The Walt Disney Concert Hall in L.A. I hope they use the outside as well as interior, its a fantastic building.
