Arnie's Best?

After a run in politics the Austrian Oak will soon return to the big screen in 'The Last Stand', so I thought we could do a thread on his pre-Governor work.

I've put a poll up but feel free to discuss the movies and your pick.

For me its a horse race between T2 and Predator. The Terminator and Total Recall are nipping at their heels though.

I guess I'd put Terminator 2 over slightly because of how groundbreaking it was, how spectacular the action looked, the themes of the movie, etc.

The first time I saw T2 as a kid in 1991 it blew my mind. I'd literally never had a film experience quite like it before.

This is a hard one for me. If we're just looking at best film, then I'd go with T2. If we're looking at his best performance, I'd probably go with The Terminator or End of Days. I'm gonna have a think about it.

I don't think I should vote because I haven't seen:

Conan the Barbarian
Conan the Destroyer
Red Sonja
Raw Deal
Red Heat


and then there are movies like Collateral Damage, End of Days, and Total Recall that I probably haven't seen in 5-10 years..

True Lies to me stands out and it's the one movie I wish he'd do a sequel of above all else but the time for that is long gone sadly. He and Jamie Lee Curtis would be too old and obvious as spies by this point to do all those stunts.

There are a lot of other good performances too but none quite stand out to me as much. Terminator 2 is a close second because he manages to emote as more than a machine at the end.

I grew up the closest with True Lies and Last Action Hero...I think Terminator and Terminator 2 might be his best works, as movies...

As an actor, I think I liked Arnold best in True Lies or Predator.

Easily Terminator 2: Judgment Day for me. Followed by The Terminator. Then I would say Predator, Total Recall and True Lies would be in the running.

Terminator 2: Judgment Day is probably his best performance.
I enjoy him in Commando the most though.

Terminator 2 is easily the best I've seen of his (though I haven't seen the first one in long enough to compare them). I enjoy the hell out of Predator, Commando, True Lies, and Conan the Barbarian too.
