Her reasoning for tuning on The Hood is just so weak.

Somehow I don't think it is the real reason. The way this show moves we will probably find out and resolve the real reason in an ep or 2.

Laurel is unlikable, and the dialogue between them was freaking awful.

Side note: Lord, the females on this show are smokin'!

Why no poll?

Anyway, rarely have I been this pleased with an episode.A few minor things would keep it from a perfect 10.(but more on that later.)

China White/Bronze Tiger were great. They apparently cut the scene with CW from the promo, which was disappointing.I've been saying since the beginning, they need to spend more time with the villains, instead of treating them as a means to an end.

I loved "Arrow" (are we allowed to call him that yet?Still no "official" naming has taken place.) meeting Roy.All the scenes with Felicity & Diggle were actually pretty funny.More than just the usual chuckle.

Laurel was ok here. Her problem with the Hood is his failure to save Tommy. It's at least plausible,I guess.

Cool having Ollie allow his image to take a hit, rather than avoid stopping CW/BT.

Ollie still hasn't killed!:woot:

The Island stuff, again was alright.Nothing really to write home about.I had fears that there could be a triangle, but Slade seemed to stay in character.

The dislikes:I'm reeeeeeally tired of seeing Roy getting arrested. If he ever does become Speedy/Arsenal or what have you, there's no way the cops won't make him as Arrow's accomplice instantly.(Not to mention if we're talking the ever important "realism",no one who has a record like Roy presumably has,is gonna walk after being arrested the 5 times he has since he joined the show. They'd book him on something.)

Didn't like Dig taking his mask off.China could've easily seen him and tied him to Ollie.Very "Spider-Man films" of them to just have him whip the mask off with out a care.

Really pleased this week.Would that this will continue.9.5/10.

Loved this episode! Diggle's "Black driver" joke was laugh out loud for me...Michael Jai White was perfect as Bronze Tiger...looking forward to seeing more of him.

Yeah, that part bugged me too. Still, really enjoyed the episode!

Eh, I'm pretty sure it is. I suspected they were going to us Tommy as the reason for her change. Seems at least one member of the Lance family always gotta hate on him.

We'll see. I mean the writers are not very good at writing for the women unless it involves comedy but they can do better than that.

I only see her looking more like an idiot. I'd just describe the writers as "ok", but that's based on my lowering of standards of this show. She's feeling like the Lana Lang of this show to me.

It's because the reason makes no sense that I say there must be something else there. Well that and some spoilers a friend sent me. The last time I tried linking to an article the board did something strange to it so I will just post the relevant portion in spoiler tags from an interview with Stephen Amell

How does that affect Oliver's standing with Laurel (Katie Cassidy)?
I think Laurel has some misplaced anger at the moment toward the vigilante but maybe she shouldn't. We resolve that pretty soon in the show. Oliver and Laurel -- I wouldn't say they're in the best place because the best place for them always and forever (Laughs.) would be in a relationship since they both love each other. But at least it's in a much more honest place, let's just put it that way. Laurel and the vigilante on the other hand, they're not in a good spot whatsoever.

I think this episode was Amell's best work on the show so far. There was a lot of iffy dialogue with China White/Bronze Wolverine Guy, but I thought he handled the first Roy lecture and the comedic exchanges very well.

Finally a good episode for Laurel. The reason for her trying to get the Hood seemed more plausible IMO and it's good to see her doing other things besides looking sad at Oliver.

I think Roy was fantastic in this episode. The scene in the hospital was really good, and showed how he really won't stop trying to make the city a better place.

Thea, although didn't have much screen time and was arguing with Roy, wasn't anoying, I don't know, the actress seems more confident on the role during these two episodes. I liked a lot.

Ok, I missed the conversation between Laurel and Arrow (I refuse to call him the Hood anymore after last week), stupid phone call. What exactly was her reasoning for hating him all of a sudden? Sebastian Blood is looking more and more like Arrow's version of Amon. Michael Jai White and Kelly Hu were both awesome, but they're both always awesome. Roy is much better this season now that they're actually giving him something interesting to do.

Laurel was pissed at the Hood because she got Tommy killed. Most charitably, she's in denial about her own guilt in the matter (just leave the goddamned files, Laurel). But even if she's in denial, she's wasting hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars and allowing civilians to be killed in order to pursue her grudge, so really Laurel is being an idiot.

Katie Cassidy does have a great ***** face, though. She was probably better off playing a villain or antagonist instead of the future Black Canary.

She's upset because he didn't save Tommy's life because he was too busy dealing with the person who created the situation that lead to Tommy being killed in the first place.

It's very convenient that she doesn't seem to realize that if she had just stayed home that day (like her father told her to), Tommy would probably still be alive.

Dinah Laurel knew that Arrow was fighting Malcolm Merlyn and she knew he couldn't be there for Tommy. Her reasons for turning against him are warped as it's a different motivation from her father's. She's officially the Lana Lang of Arrow.

The team dynamics of Oliver, Diggle, and Felicity have amped up and we're seeing the seeds of the partnership between Oliver and Roy, who becomes his eyes and ears on the Glades.

I wish they bring both Slade and Shado into the present.

Oliver's personas have lots of work to do to become the hero from the comics as this was where we have two new characters in Bronze Tiger and Sebastian Blood aka Brother Blood.

Thea has become more likeable in this season than last season as she continues to be straight and clear-headed.

Much better episode than last week's.

Ok, that does sound really stupid. If Arrow didn't do what he did, hundreds more people would have also died. I'd be really funny if Quentin was the one to tell her to back off, considering his views in the first season.

I think like how others have said, Laurel is probably trying to place the entire blame and guilt on Green Arrow's hands as opposed to accepting the guilt that she had from Tommy having died from saving her, along with her feeling that she betrayed him when she slept with Oliver.

Since she doesn't want to feel that guilt, she does what she thinks is the next best thing and that is place the guilt on Green Arrow, who she thinks she has no personal ties with from her POV.

Now, even IF (because lord knows that it might not very well be) that was the excuse, I'm not saying that Laurel's right to do this, but if all of this was building up to her not being such a unlikable character anymore, then I'd be up for it.

F**k Laurel, just f**k her. "Oh, you helped the people of the city, you tried to stop the maniac that threatened to destroy the entire Glades. All of the Glades would have been gone if it weren't for you. Oh, but you didn't happen to be there when I needed you. So I'm gonna bury your ass."

8/10

Good episode, very awesome cliffhanger....Laurel is just dumb.

Anyone else got the Lemire Street reference ? It made me smile.
Also Brother Blood was there, no relation to his comic counterpart outside of the name though.

I really hope they give some better choreographed fight scenes to MJW in future episodes.

The only way you can salvage Laurel, is if they have her be under Blood's mind control. And I mean proper mind control like in the comics. Not some weak ass stuff like he used mere words, and her clouded judgment, to rile her against the Hood. Don't make Laurel that stupid, that a mere sweet talker is enough to make her completely blinded.

WOW, this show's pacing is off the scale !!! They don't play around, everything just happens. They don't waste time crying and not being who they're supposed to be and for that this show has my utmost respect. Really love the new season and this show as a whole.

Also great new dynamic between Ollie, Diggle and Felicity.

simply AMAZING show !

Oh, and I feel sorry for Diggle. But that now opens the doors for this scenario. :awesome:
