Overall it was a good episode, I wasn't surprised to see Black Canary show up till the very end. Laurels motivation to suit up makes sense and I am glad that the moment has finally arrived.

It was also nice to see Aresenal and DigArroow operate without Arrow around. They did a pretty good job.

This season has been slower then last season but I appreciate it and have been enjoying it.

Good episode, though I wish the end with Ollie was held off for a few more weeks. And I'm disappointed his revival wasn't done via the Lazarus Pit.

Yeah that reveal was WAY to soon. It should've been held off till the end of the next episode. What did they use to save him? My tv decided to skip around the dialogue right when they were talking about it. Was it mirakuru?

So no superpowers except for

Brick's bulletproof head? WTF?

other than that an excellent episode.
The bullet grazed the side of his head. Wasn't a direct hit.

The episode was good. Felicity's scenes were great. As was Laurel at the end.

Okay, so is no one going to mention the fact that Brick is apparently bulletproof? You think that would be kind of important, but Diggle never brings it up.

And that ending....

Why the heck didn't they use the Lazarus Pit!?! They had sure better have a good reason why Tatsu suddenly developed resurrection powers, because right now that's 10 times less "realistic" and "grounded" than the magic pit used by the villain we already know to be hundereds of years old!!!!

At least Diggle and Roy had some great moments this episode, and Vinnie Jones was terrific, as always.

Hard to imagine they wouldn't recognize the prosecutor they were just dealing with in court, though.

Good episode. Would have liked the surprise held off a little longer. We didn't even know for a fact that Tatsu was still alive when they made that reveal.

It seems likely, if they aren't using the Lazarus Pit, it isn't because of it not being realistic and grounded. It may be because they didn't want to deal with the added baggage that brings.

Are you sure?

It looked like it hit dead center and even if it grazed him there was no blood. AAMOF a graze should have knocked him out at a minimum.

I mentioned it but in spoiler tags.

No Lazarus Pit? Booooo! Otherwise great episode, even the flashback finally paid off rather than ending up more filler. Really like the Canary reveal - it just fit.

Had a feeling Dinah Laurel would become Black Canary at the end and I liked her motivation. Loved seeing Roy and Diggle in action together. Enjoyed the end as well.

Glad to see Tatsu in the present. If and when she becomes Katana, I hope she resembles the New 52 version. Something tells me Oliver will return to Starling City with her.

Pretty good episode overall. Things seem to make sense. Felicity thinks there's no point anymore, Diggle loses hope too without Oliver, so Laurel feels the only way to help is to suit up. I like how it's her forcing it as a character to hide the feeling of it being forced in writing. But it's still interesting to see how Oliver's "death" at this point affects everyone around him. Although I do agree, I wish the reveal ould've at least been saved until next week, but I guess they don't want to lose viewers who think he's gone for good.

There's no way that bullet "just grazed" him. If that's what they were trying to imply, they did a really lousy job at it.

I'm pretty sure. I thought I saw some blood on the side on his head.

In other words, Maseo is going to be dead soon.
Not neccesarily. I think the truth is going to come out at some point that Malcolm was the one who killed Sara. Plus, does Ra's really need to know where his men are at all times. Maseo could easily return to the League. I think Merlyn was wanted so bad because he left and then caused destruction, and Sara wanted to escape for good.

I feel like I would of rather him come back in like 3 episodes to save the day, and THEN explain how he survived..even though I'm not buying it, but it sounds like it's those magic herbs again :-(.

They didn't show how they did it. It's still a mystery.

I would rather the team show they can function without Oliver and not need saving. Let Roy continue to step up.

Well they did hint that Tatsu had some mystical powers.

Hmmm.Gonna go with an 8 for this one. I felt like the intention was good.It was more or less bubbling to the surface for most of the episode, but they never quite made good the potential of a "world without Ollie".

I like Vinnie Jones, but he came off way too subtle. I thought he'd have some level of deformity, but even his character in The Cape was more colorful.I was a bit disappointed. Apparently he's the "Brother Blood" style Big Bad-Temp,until we get Ra's/Malcolm/Slade back.

The action was quite good.Roy got a good moment with Thea, but I feel he was shortchanged in as much as "Teh Feelz" about Ollie scenes go. I liked Felicity and Ray's scene about his wife.I felt it hit the emotional mark about the best for this episode.

An aside: I'm hoping they get a close up on the photo of Anna- played by Kate Bosworth.:woot:

I liked Felicity pulling the plug on the mission & the subsequent fallout.But....I don't really think it played on the tension highly enough. Of all things they had the Roy/Digg scene played for tension, which I thought was an odd choice.

Ditto Malcolm and his frequent "pop-in's" to the Arrow cave. Team Arrow came across much too civilly towards Malcolm. I expected tempers to flare.Roy losing his cool-Digg having some choice words- Felicity slapping him-anything! But the scene lacked any "oomph" in it's execution.

Yes,Laurel came across as well as could be expected. I actually thought she'd have a somewhat bigger presence in the episode. I almost figured she'd have a voice changer at the end to appease the "reality police".(That guy couldn't remember her voice?)

Flashbacks: Eh,what can you say.I figured they dropped the ball on not letting Ollie tag the guy in the leg,but he was savvy to put a tracker on the guy.Well done!

So Katana & her husband are going to nurse him back to health? It's the obvious choice, given the flashbacks. The phrase "brought back to life" is an interesting one. I can't help but wonder why Team Arrow doesn't decide to..ya'know...actually look for Ollie?

(I wonder how many 200 word detailed reviews like this I need to do to get the tv poster of the year award? Maybe I should just post 2 sentence snarky statements this year instead.:o)

Maybe its just me but it's clear the only thing bullets do to Brick is just break his skin.

Diggle of all people isn't missing that close of a shot to the head.

I doubt he is processing whose voice it could be when he is getting attacked.

But I am hoping that Ollies absence from Starling is a lot longer then 2/3 weeks. I would hope he was gone at least 2 months.

What kind of super jet is Malcolm using to travel though? Seemed like it was 24hrs in between his two meetings with Team Arrow.

The guy's hearing was probably injured after the Canary Cry bomb so he might not have heard her properly.

Yes Felicity. You really need to change the locks.

Malcolm got back pretty quick!

yes & sadly they are beyond the lockd now, so beyond it.....

Bingo Ollie will be murdering everyone near him with out care in rabies mode & later the impaired judgment long term when that ends & captain lance will have to be his enemy with all that & there no cure cause Dc as a comic industry want's the pit's incurable of the side effects.
it's just how the pit's are . it'll be worse the what happened with huntress .

Well I'm happy katana's is alive hmm I'm wondering about Tatsu & her son now though

That's a good point.

But to clarify,I don't really give a crap about voice changers. The genre existed for decades without it. But some people really get worked up over that crap.

Their handling of Malcolm has been ridiculous this entire season. Why would that change now?

This is what I want as well but even longer the 3 weeks.
So that the other characters have more time to develop and have more people care or start to like them more cause they6 need that development . it would also put the writers in a better place too over all.
