it was an okay episode. Im having a hard time getting into this season after how terrible the last one was.

I also find it weird that one of Oliver's best friends died while she was a part of the team yet Oliver wants to recruit people with no real training to be a part of it. I would think he wouldnt want to put anyone else in danger with his crusade.

I realize that he cant do it all himself, but its a perfect time to go back to the Oliver, Felicity, Diggle trio instead of introducing new characters just for the sake of intrucing them.

Oliver didn't want to. It was Felicity, Thea and Diggle who convinced him to do it.

The show will never be about those 3 alone, the show started with Oliver FYI.

Felicity hasn't been annoying in the last two episodes. She has been fine. I disagree with her wanting Oliver to reveal his identity to the new team so early though.

i agree i understand trying not to constantly scare the new recruits but at the same time this is the first time arrow has met these people and he risked one of them leaving and now know his secret

Loved the premiere but this was pretty crap IMO

I really don't care for Wild Dog and villain this week was awful. But I love that the villain redeemed himself by the end. Interested to see where that goes.

Also haven't we seen bad soldiers before? That Diggle plot felt like a rehash and why wouldn't they just kill him?

Best parts were the Russia flashbacks and Prometheus appearing again.

Except that Diggle wanted out and is currently deployed and loving the whole orders and rules thing. He burned out in the whole right/wrong of what they were doing.

Thea wanted out because it was never what she wanted. She's loving being 'normal.'

Laurel is dead.
And Roy... Well, if he's not dead, I guess they could try and get Arsenal back.

If Wildcat is still alive, they can try him as well.

Different characters and players, but even recruiting Ragman is like Batman recruiting Clayface.

Definitely, I thought they wre the same at one point but then when he started using what looked like meta human abilities I thought it can't be.

That's what I thought all along until the end scene when Prometheus showed up. I had forgotten that Prometheus had threatened church in the previous episode or that he was even an archer (it was that memorable ) and just thought that the person set up to be a potential big bad might've turned out to be an ally instead.

And definitely some angst for Felicity concerning Ragman. She didn't pull the trigger, but she sure aimed the barrel.

Eh, be fair. What she did was more analogous to knocking the barrel aside. She didn't control exactly where it went, she just tried to redirect it *somewhere*, because where it was aimed was pretty much the worst possible option.

I was watching the whole episode thinking it was Prometheus. I had that rag look, which is different from the comics, so I didn't even question him having powers too.

Yes, I am liking this season of Arrow a lot more than last season so far.

I'll accept and be fair about that.

I actually haven't seen that episode, just clips on youtube.

So, yes she knocked the barrel aside and the missile hit Havenrock instead.

And actually, it's another instance of the writers playing it 'safe.' Thea was used to kill Sara, but she had no control over her actions. The same with Roy. He was under the influence of a drug and had no idea what he was doing when he killed the cop.

When these instances were brought to light, forgiveness was more easily given, considering the innocence of the 'perpetrators.' Now it looks like the same thing here. There is an avenue of forgiveness that can be taken which is good for the character, but again, seems like an easy out.

This was a solid follow-up episode. I'm loving the tone of this season already. It's been pretty tight and focused so far.

I loved the training with the recruits and the way it was tied to the flashbacks. Ragman is an awesome character. I enjoyed how unique his action scenes are. And that rooftop meeting at the end with Arrow was ace. I like Thea's post-vigilante role too. The fact Oliver is taking being the Mayor seriously is good to see as well. It's not just a cover.

I find Season 5 Felicity far more likable right now. Her conversations with Oliver have been great. There isn't forced tension or unnecessary melodrama between them either.

Prometheus is BADASS! I loved the way he owned Church at the end.

Yeah, me too. I honestly got them mixed up after he saved Green Arrow. I was confused why Prometheus was joining "Team Arrow"

Maybe it's just me, but I was expecting Ragman to be an older, grizzled fellow. Having him be another pretty boy was kinda lame.
