Ashanti and Ali Larter join Resident Evil: Extinction

No, I see the problem with the masses. I see it more as a bandwagon thing. After one person said it others just started to follow. It's the only explaination as to why people can see two different people dresses in two completely different styles of clothing and say they look the same.

Ashanti??? Are you serious?? I seen her in Coach Carter, and she just wasn't believable.

LOL you're one of my new favourite posters...you're hillarious, and I'm not sure if you mean to be or not, but it's entertaining to read your posts

Trust me. I believe two different looking people dressed two completely different ways are in fact different. Glad you think it's so funny.

No I think YOU are funny, there's a difference :p

um... it's a girl wearing sunglasses and a hat... hardly a trademarked likeness. well, whatever.

did anyone read the latino review script review? sounds like it'll be more of the same (pretty meh all around), but i won't lie, i'll pay to see this movie just to see the
tyrant
and i'm guessing, by the way the latino reviwer says it, that
jill valentine
is the one who dies.

That sucks, the last part you said. Well. I'll still pay to see this greatness. Do you know if the person that dies is in the movie until the end and then dies, or right in the beginning she dies?

it sounded like it was towards the end when he/she dies.

Thanks, at least he/she survives until the end.

I could care less if they kill
Jill
in the movies. They've already spun off into a completely different timeline from the game series, so anything that happens in the movies now does not effect the games.

In the games, Umbrella got defeated a few months after Raccoon City was destroyed, because the government helped crack down on them after the good guys found the dirt linking Umbrella to the outbreak in Raccoon City, and exposed their illegal bio weapon projects.

However in the movies, they went in a totally different direction, where the Zombies do not get defeated, and go on to take over the world and leaving the humans to fend for their lives. This is totally against the games' continuity, and more or less prevents any game past Resident Evil 3 from occuring.

I seriousely do not believe Paul WS Anderson played any of the games except the playstation ones. Who knows, maybe the films' quality level is his way of carrying over elements from Resident Evil Survivor. :o

Tim, Resident Evil Dead Aim (while a side story, it's still apart of the storyline) takes place in 2002 and Umbrella is still up and running.

The Gun Survivor series are not part of mainstray RE cannon, and also Dead Aim was handled by a different studio, and was made before RE4 came out. Originally RE4 was going to take place in a world where Umbrella still existed, but then Shinji Mikami decided the series needed a re-tooling and that's where the version of RE4 we have today came from.

Paul Anderson obviousely wrote the script for Extinction after RE4 had been out for a very long time, and has no excuse for why it goes so blatantly against the games' cannon other than because that's not where he wanted to see the saga go. If you'll notice, RE Extinction goes against the timeline of Code Veronica as well, which is why I've come to the conclusion that PWSA does not aknowledge any of the post-PS1 RE games.

I already know all of that. I'm just telling you that Umbrella didn't fall a couple of months after Resident Evil 2/Nemesis because Resident Evil Code Veronica takes place more than a couple of months after the second and third game and Dead Aim takes place in 2002. Umbrella was up and running until Resident Evil 4 came out with it's stupid "they went bankrupt" excuse.

I do agree that was ******ed.

I was hoping for a BIG face off against the umbrella corp for re4, with all the coolest characters (chris, jill, leon, barry, carlos, etc) and the best they come up with was ''they went broke''???? that was dumb.

I kinda like that the movies are going a seperate way....because it's a nice alternate take on the series, as much as i hate alice and the ******ed kung fu uwe boll ****e.

Dead Aim was retconned, so it is not part of the official canological timeline. Code Veronica takes place during the time period between Racoon City's destruction, and the fall of umbrella. Umbrella still fell a few months after RE2, but it was after Code Veronica as well.

And Umbrella went bankrupt because the government pulled the plug. I'm sure there's an interesting story with their downfall, but it's not chronicled directly in the games.

anyone think the zombies will be smarter like RE4?

Those Plaga are not zombies in RE4. They are Las Plaga, but yeah, in Extinction the zombies should be at least more tougher.

They have to be, since Alice will be flying and shooting lasers out of her eyes. :(

He probably will stay away from that. But I see him using Ada, maybe not in Extinction, but in the forth movie.
