Ashton Kutcher replacing Charlie Sheen in Two and a Half Men

Oh my God. A news story has never made me happier than this one has. This is amazing.

I hate Two And A Half Men.

I hate Ashton Kutcher.

This will be beautiful.

Wow...I didn't know Ashton was this desperate to get back into tv. It's not like his movie career is THAT dead. He's only had a few bombs, but most of them have been ok hits.

This IS all a mess.Remember Charlie Sheen Is suing them because he had a contract.Sheen Is hardly the first entertainer to be doing self destructing behaver. The creater of the west wing was doing drugs when he was writing the show. From the beging Sheen was playing himself to a large degree and the public knew It.To suddenly have his character just disappear IS crazy.CBS should have just let Sheen finish off his contract and then end the show or they should just axe it.This whole situation Is really because Sheen and Chuck Lore had a complete falling out.

Kelso? KELSO?! Hmmm... maybe I'll check it out.

Really? Kinda surprised. As someone said his movie career is still decent

It's not the worst move. He can make a lot of money on t.v. and still do films. Show won't last much longer anyways.

Yeah not sure why he wants to hop back into TV. Butterfly Effect was severely underrated in my eyes. Maybe not underrated but it sure didn't do much at the BO. Just Married, My Boss' Daughter, Guess Who and What Happens in Vegas were all decent enough.

Killers suffered because everyone knew a much better version of it was coming out six months later (Knight and Day). I fear the same will happen with No Strings Attached, as Friends with Benefits (July) looks 10 times more enjoyable and they released the red trailer for it a couple of months before NSA hit theaters.

It won't last past his first season. No show ever does once the LEAD leaves.

Just when I thought a terrible show couldn't get any worse this news comes out.

David Duchovney last full season of the X-Files was season 7.During season 8 He was
In the 2 part season premiere.A couple In the middle and the last several Episodes.
Season 9 was the Mulderless season where ratings dropped heavily without him.He came
back for the 2 hour series finale.

Eh... I'm on the fence about Ashton Kutcher. I'm surprised Chuck Lorre and CBS jumped for him, as opposed to hitting for Hugh Grant quality. But since he's sitcom-experienced and a consummate professional, I guess that's all that matters. But Matt, after all that s**t Sheen put Lorre through -- he deserved to be fired. No one's irreplaceable, especially after biting the hand that feeds you for years.

The key between the revived show going for one final season as opposed to an additional three or four is the chemistry. If Kutcher hits it off chemistry-wise with Jon Cryer and the supporting cast -- it will be a hit again. The writing is a key factor too, but Kutcher has to click with the cast for the show to enjoy another revival.

And if Kutcher gets Natalie Portman, or Mila Kunis to do special guest appearances.... more power to him. And more Melanie Lynskey while we're at it.

Two and a Half Men WAS Charlie Sheen

i don't see this show lasting more than 2 seasons

and more importantly, how the hell are they going to explain Charlie's absence??

they should have just continued the show without Charlie and ended it

I thought John Stamos was supposed to replace Sheen.

Ashton is seriously the worst guy they could've picked! Hell, even Russell Brand would've been a better choice. At least he's crazy enough to pull off a Sheen-like role!

I am actually going to start watching it. Just to help it out perform the Sheen years.

From Tiger blood to Cougar blood

Kutcher will probably bring a ton of guest stars(Portman, Demi Moore)

Hugh Grant? That would've been pretty sweet. Kutcher? Not so much.

I think the suggestion made below would work just fine. Everyone already knows what happened.

I think either Rob Lowe or John Stamos could have just taken over the role, same character, and the show could have kept going...

Although I agree that the network should have kept Sheen over the producer.

I'm kind of hoping that they start the first episode like
"Where's Charlie?"
"Vegas"
"Still?"
"He said he was 'winning'..."

and just move on from there...
