Assasins Creed

I'm losing interest in this fast. I'm at the fifth assassination I think. PLEASE tell me it picks up at some point?

Nope, pretty much all the assasinations progress in the same formula with the same repetitve side missions leading up to them. Sadly, once you've done the first, theres little variation to be found.

This was one of the first rentals I've ever had that went back on time. It was basically just what I thought it was. Like Spiderman 2, it's fun to just run around jumping from rooftop to rooftop, but once you get down to the combat, missions and side missions, it's just average at best.

yeah ive found myself not wanting to pick up AC to be honest, i think ill give it another shot now but if theres no interest its just gonna gather dust

This game is a thing of beauty and patience.
You have to take your time with it (not rush through it and go "Ok, I'm done LOL!!"), observe it, try new things with it, and forgive any inconsistencies you might find on the way, because hey...the rewards are worth it.

Like my buddy Hunter Rider smartly observed, the game's "like a woman", which is why I'm not surpised most of you are just rushing through it without knowing what to do and b1tching about it :o

What a bull**** theory. What exactly is it we are rushing through? It's the same stuff over and over and over again. What do you want to sit and observe, the same exact lines repeating in every Save the Citizen side missions? Basically your argument is have fun with the free running and don't worry about the rest. Have fun with that one thing and forgive all the other short comings in the game. Like the massive repetition in every mission, investigation, combat and basically everything other than free running really. And even that gets old after a while. There's only so many times where baiting guards to chase you around stays fun. Because the combat sure isn't. The story, while interesting, can't save the game. The gameplay just gets too boring and repetitive. It's a game that most gamers should try just for the free running, but that's about it. There is no "reward".

I knew I was going to be wasting my perfect theory with a mostly boneheaded audience :cmad:

Search your feelings, you know it's true.

I searched and I found this:

Anyway, I'm right

hmm, it seems to me a lot of the people being apologetic for this game are using the same excuses I heard for Shadow of the Colossus, "It doesn't matter if you just do the same thing over and over! Its a beautiful epic!" blah blah blah. :cwink:

I haven't played it yet...but I must admit, I am quite discouraged by this negative feed back :csad:

I think the overall view is far more positive then negative. Hell, if you aren't sure then just give it a rental, but for your own sake at least try it. For all it's "repetitiveness" I wasn't bored once. It's obvious the game isn't for everyone, but there are those of us out there that absolutely adored it. You owe it to yourself to at least give it a playthrough. Just pay attention to what's going on.

*saves*

Belive me man, it does get better.
ill take your word for it, how long on average would you say it takes to complete the game its just i dont want to play it for proper hours and then i do find it terrible

I have no idea, lol. I'm only on my fourth assassination but loving every minute of it.

I had to start all over cause my game glitched.

I started seeing a ghost image of myself repeating all my movements. I killed it and then I died.

Also if I just left the ghost alone and played I would just fall through thr ground and die.

:(
