Assasins Creed

Yeah that would be awesome. It's one of the reasons why I am hopeful for the sequel. There should be one.

in the sequel, you should be able to control Desmond the way you could control Alta'ir. imagine free running and climbing on modern architecture.

i doubt Ubisoft would be daring enough to tackle that idea though. that would take years upon years to develop.

They were daring enough to make AC, which was a risk.

yeah but AC isn't based around modern technology (vehicles, guns, etc).

If anything mix the two. I mean, as AC showed us, there are more artifacts to uncover.

that would be neat.. maybe for a future squeal, like for the xbox 720 or something would be fantastic!..

going back and looking at Desmond's grandfather, or great grandfather early 1900 new york city would be so cool!
And you work for another assassin place, and your targets are mobsters, corrupt cops, evil mayor, rich people who got away with crimes, bastard judges, sinister politicians, weapon dealers, crazy club kingpins... list can go on and on! :word:

is there a way to enter the animas with out always starting out talking to that old bastard at Masyaf?? i already beat the game, and ever time i enter it, it always start out with me talking to him... i don't want to talk to him, i want to start out in one of the cites.. its so annoying having to start out every time talking to that bastard, especially if its with every memory....

Nope, the only way is to play again and save before you do the final assassination. Which is what I did, I'm saved with all the equipment, full health, and I start right into the city. Perfect for messing around.

Can't you just wait until after the credits and have freeplay?

Unskippable cutscenes are totally un-cool. When a developer touts their game as being a "future AAA," they should at least be able to get something as friggin' basic as that right. There's no excuse for not being able to skip a cutscene that you end up having to watch 5 million times if you're not doing well. All I can say is, thank God for mute buttons.

so i killed 30 out of 60 templars... they are hard to find.

Do you even get anything for killing all of them?

If there is some kind of reward, I can't imagine it being worth all the trouble you must go through to do it.

^ you get an achievement that counts towards your Microsoft Xbox 360 live gamertag score points of magical awesomeness!! Nothing is cooler then Digital high score numbers on a colorful television screen!! Watch your friends drop their jaws in astonishment once they glance at your incredibly high scores!

Wow, how sucktastic.

Seriously, I'm almost glad that PS3 doesn't have a gamerscore, because I can't imagine how stupid it must feel to get so excited over something so useless. Achievements are just a convenient way for developers to make you get excited about doing things that normally would not be even remotely rewarding. It's the easy way out of making a satisfying game experience. Why bother giving the player an awesome new weapon or whatever when you can just give them a stupid achievement?

they should at least make it worth something, like a fee month of xbox live if you get a certain amount of achievement points.... or a free xbox shirt and cap :woot:

It gets you to explore new parts of their game. Stop moaning, Tim. You know, just as everyone else does, that if you had a 360, you would be doing the same.

When it comes to the 360 and PS3, I actually agree on this. I don't get the point of the gamerscore. I don't get people actually paying money for someone else's higher gamerscore on eBay. What is the appeal? If it actually gave us credit towards something, or unlocked things in a game then I would be all for it. I remember when the big Fall update was released and they revealed they were going to release some original Xbox games over Live, and people immediately asked if there were going to achievements and when they found out there wasn't, some of were just like "**** it then". I really don't get it.

You guys are b1tching about something that's given to you as an extra incentive, has no effect on gameplay and can be ignored if you want to...

Explain to me people buying other people's higher gamerscores. Do you understand that? I never said I hated it, it really makes no difference to me whatsoever. I just don't understand the appeal to it.

Yeah, I can explain that. Those people are ******ed.

It's one thing to say that, and a very different thing to say "The achievements are useless because blah blah blah".
