This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]453669[/split]
Yeah, this may be a GOTY contender for me. I wasn't big on any of the previous games (I really, reeeeeeally disliked Desmond) and I just really like how Kenway, right now at least, doesn't give a piss about the Assassin's or Templars.. Not really anyway.
Oh and.. My new favorite line in the game..
Your name isn't really James... Is it..?
Kinda the worst kept secret in the game.
I could tell from the beginning that Kidd was a chick. I just wish they'd kinda stuck to the script on the actual Mary Read and her relationship with Anne Bonny and Calico Jack Rackham. The real story of that pirate menage-a-trois was absolutely fascinating, and would've been great in the game.
I just did the section where you [blackout] steal the Man of War [/blackout]
The Aveline missions are those started at some point in the campaign or do you select them from the main menu?
I haven't even gotten my own ship yet and already this is already off to a better start than the last couple of AC games.
I find it is the best of the series but a heads up. When it's done, besides the little bit of missions left, there's nothing to do at all. I found myself just messing around and doing everything before even hitting sequence five. I had found so much and explored so much that I had probably three quarters of the upgrades done for everything before getting the diving bell. Have you gotten to the under water bits yet? They are insane.
I think ACIV did an outstanding job with the underwater sections. Easily the most challenging part of the game, but also very fun, and beautiful.
I was hoping GTAV's much-ballyhooed underwater sections would've been like this, only to a commensurately larger scale; but GTAV's underwater is pretty much like a giant empty goldfish bowl with an extremely rare shark, submarine piece, or radioactive waste container every so often.
The Templars should know what an assassin should look like, considering the longstanding struggle between the groups that goes back centuries. The costume gets altered but doesn't change much that its not recognizable as suchI don't think the Assassins are well-known at all, so it's not like any of the general public out there would see a guy in a hood and know that he's anything more than a guy in a hood.
Also, Edward isn't an Assassin. At least not yet.
